I'm looking for the same thing.🙂
Though I wouldn't recommend using eBay...

I mean, I might actually pull the trigger on it. They’ve got some really cool stuff, but the shipping wait times just drive me crazy. That's why I'm hunting for a better deal somewhere else.

You can find them in pretty much any fabric store. I actually spotted some at IKEA just the other day, and they were incredibly cheap! (I know we were talking about California, but just as a random thought, it never would have crossed my mind).
Ribbons and stuff like that are usually in bookstores. Definitely check out The Washington Post.

Well, you end up paying a decorator and still don't order anything.😁 You get distracted by more pressing matters, like mortgages or buying a kitchen...

Ann, regarding the craft supplies—down by the downtown area, near the mall and that local pizza joint—there’s a shop with some decorations, though I’m not entirely sure about their selection... so if you aren't in a massive rush, why not just order 👍

Does anyone have a recommendation for a musician to play at a house party to see off a wedding couple—and please, let's avoid anything involving an accordion or a traditional folk group?

Also, does anyone know where I can pick up some simple white gold wedding bands?
Thanks

We picked ours up at Dvornik on the Boardwalk. They really have some beautiful designs.
Thanks for the tip.

Hey everyone,
getting married this November.
Looking for some music and photographer recs.
Thinking about booking Taxi Band for the music—anyone have thoughts on them?
No clue about photographers yet, just looking for an amateur or someone semi-pro.

Hey everyone,
so, I’ve had a bit of a scheduling shift on my end, which basically means everything is moving around now.
Because of that, I ended up losing my photographer :'( He can't make the new date work, and if you want my honest opinion—he is seriously phenomenal.
So, yeah, if anyone else happens to be hunting for someone to take photos—the original date was October 8th and the photographer was Tonc Cerin.
+ also, the band Twist Off is free too!

Haha, you're not wrong!! 🙂 🙂

Anyway, how far in advance should I reach out to the hall to hammer out the details before the party?
It's been like six months since I booked them, and I haven't said a word to them—so I'm kind of stuck wondering if I even need to 😵

Hey,
can anyone give me some makeup recommendations 🎉🎉
I've looked at Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emma B., but maybe someone else??
What have your experiences been like? 🙂))

I'm not sure if you check your DMs, so consider this a little nudge.

I recall that last year Meryl Streep was looking for $167, but I personally found that look to be way too over-the-top. I actually had Anne Hathaway do my makeup once; the price was $117, and while she worked incredibly fast, I was genuinely satisfied with the results. In fact, I've booked her again for a photo shoot this Monday. As for Emma B., I'm not sure who she is. However, I would highly recommend Apple (even if her Facebook photos don't quite do her justice); I've seen several people she’s worked on in person, and honestly, I am speechless. She will absolutely be my go-to from now on. Her rate is $83, and I believe she doesn't travel to clients.

Has any girl actually tied the knot with John Doe? Looking for some real-world experiences here. We picked him because we heard nothing but glowing reviews :-) We already had our initial meeting, and honestly, the guy seems super chill and totally down-to-earth. My main question is, do you guys usually have a rehearsal with the priest before the actual wedding day? I’m just trying to figure out if we'll know exactly how the ceremony flows—like what to say, where to stand, all that jazz... haha... even though he did mention it would be a quick 30 minutes max.

And I'm doing this in May.🙂 Well, during that first meeting, he really seemed great—reasonable, not making things unnecessarily complicated. He told us to check back in after Easter to finalize everything, saying we shouldn't worry about a thing. The main thing was making sure we didn't forget the pre-cana course, which we actually finished back in February. I'm looking forward to it; he seems like an excellent choice.🙂

Awesome, just let us know how it goes once it's done! We want to hear all about the ceremony 😁

So, Mrs. Mom from The Flower Shop just called me out of the blue—literally a month after the trade show. She said I could swing by sometime during the third month to check out their work and everything. If we actually settle on something, they want a deposit upfront before we even dive into the heavy details. (Does anyone have any clue what a typical deposit looks like these days?)
I’ve been scrolling through Ivan's work on Facebook, and honestly, he’s talented. Some of the details feel a little... tacky, if I'm being blunt, but hey, that's the bride's call, right? I'm not the one paying. Also, does everyone just use those standard, tall, skinny glass vases, or is there anyone doing something different? Like, maybe a medium-sized cube or something? Personally, I think a big centerpiece in the middle would look killer paired with a few smaller, sparkly accents underneath.

I did the exact same thing and followed up in December. Jane showed me way more stuff than what's on her Facebook, and I actually liked it. It seems like she really tailors everything to what the bride wants since she does both classic styles and some pretty wild arrangements. I told her I was planning to $1000 set aside a certain amount for flowers. My plan is to get the main bouquet plus a toss bouquet, car decor, boutonnieres for the groom and best man, the sweetheart table setup, and instead of bouquets on the guest tables, I'm thinking vases filled with petals and candles. We'll hash out the fine print two months before the big day. The deposit ended up being $67. As for the prices they quoted me—bouquet was $217, the toss bouquet is free, the sweetheart table is $500, and the table decor is $17 (that's the cheaper option without the actual bouquet).

Is Rose actually cheaper than that Repromaterial place, Anne?
