Grim said:Honestly, it looks to me like you’re having a total meltdown over failing. Look, bombing an exam is just part of the deal when you're in college—it’s not like the world is ending because you lost a year. You're basically just making excuses for your "failure" in school. You say you picked this major for the money, but then you claim you actually want to help people, blah blah blah... like it's somehow not your fault the pay is lousy. It's all just excuses. Just drop all that baggage, forget what everyone else expects from you, and get real about what you're actually good at. Don't lower your standards just because you're scared.

I'm with them on this one. This is exactly the point I've been trying to make.
Even if you're studying philosophy, there are going to be brutal exams. It's not like you're gonna change majors or lose your mind and fly halfway across the country every single time you fail a test, right?

I think I'll head out West this summer—pick up a language, find work in tourism. Maybe a tour guide, some traveling—it’s all about the money for me. Just want to enjoy life 🙂

👋

If this is a decision you've reached with a clear head after serious thought—and if this is what you truly want—then I sincerely wish you the best. I hope you succeed and eventually find fulfillment, at least professionally. Good luck. 😘

I’m honestly thinking about heading out to Europe this summer, picking up a new language, and finding work in the tourism industry. Maybe be a tour guide, travel around—I don't care about the money, really. I just want to live my life and enjoy myself. 🙂

👋

We all have those moments... but you see, after getting a good night's sleep, things feel a little more grounded.

Not languages, and certainly nothing more exhausting than that. I'd grab something practical that actually pays the bills, then pursue my passions on the side.

Man, if only I'd known that when I was 18. 😢

I knew it back then, honestly. I just convinced myself that what I was studying would actually be useful later on. What a massive miscalculation. 🤣
