Well, she explicitly told me the limit could go as high as $15,000, but clearly, they haven't the slightest clue how any of this actually works.

So I figured I’d jump in here and ask my own question about this too:

I’ve had my Diners card for about 10 months now, plus I have that Diners loyalty thing going on...

I was wondering if it's actually possible to take out some kind of cash advance through the Diners card? I’m just looking for maybe around $1,100, nothing crazy or anything...

What kind of interest rates are we talking about here, and what does the repayment process look like?

I don't think they even offer cash loans anymore. All you can get is the revolving credit line on your Visa card.

Diners hasn't been handing out any cash loans lately (well, for a few months now at this point)

Does anyone actually know what the process looks like for getting a cash loan through Diners? I swear they used to have all the details right there on their website, but now—for some reason—I can't find anything. 🤷

I don't think they'll let you. They'll only give you a revolving loan. (Though, if you actually read what's on their site, they just turn a charge card into a revolving credit line🤷)

How does that revolving credit on a Diners card actually work? Does it mean if I charge something like $3333, they just hit me with a 4% monthly fee?

Can I use my Diners card to pay off a car? I’m looking at an amount around 50 $0.00?

You totally can. They offer consumer loans with up to 60 monthly installments.

Does anyone know how the revolving credit works on a Diners Club card? Has anyone actually dealt with it before?🤔

Works like a charm!
You buy what you need and just pay a minimum of 4 or 5% monthly, though you can always throw down more.
Interest kicks in on whatever balance is left, and if you go over your revolving limit, expect that hit on your next bill immediately.
Installment plans? Those have to be paid on schedule—no double delays allowed here.

Just received a loan offer from JPMorgan Chase—they’re using Diners Club—with an interest rate of 8.80%... have they lost their minds?

Was this offered as a straight cash loan through Diners Club, or was it coming directly from JPMorgan Chase since you're already a client?

And did that offer actually show up in your physical mailbox at home, or was it just some random notification through your online banking?

I received a letter at my house confirming my credit was approved via Diners, though I still have to follow up with Chase—as per usual. They even called me to let me know I was cleared for about $20000, but honestly, you can take them up on it if you need the funds. I’m not even a client of theirs; you just walk into a branch, grab the paperwork for the notary, and they set up the payroll deductions. I've been paying off one of their loans for ages now...
