Yeah, sure. In a NORMALLY DEVELOPED society, maybe. Not for certain half-humans out there. For them, I guess that realization only hits right before death... the tunnel... the light... that sudden feeling of meeting something divine... 😁

I think you’re blowing this way out of proportion. Look, Matthew is a sweet kid, really, but he just hasn't stepped up yet; he’s too modest, hasn't made a big splash, and let’s face it—younger voters don't exactly reward that kind of subtlety. I actually tried to walk you through the numbers to show how his approval rating for the Big Brother lead jumped by 2% during that two-hour window, but you’re busy looking at other political polls—you know, those Sunday afternoon ones around 2:00 PM when all the party loyalists are busy voting, which adds another 2,000 or 3,000 votes if you bother to do the math. And as for those advocates cherry-picking moments to suit their own agendas? That’s just how the world works; every political party in every country does it, especially those climbing the ladder from the bottom. Any decent situation can be spun through a Delphic lens—or a horoscope, if you prefer to be cynical.

Personally, I find it pretty refreshing that this guy from a small town in the Midwest, someone who isn't even politically active, has managed to climb this high; it seems people still have a soft spot for a regular, salt-of-the-earth American.🙂

dustypilot22 said:We’re talking about actual statements from specific people who spent 118 days whining about fighting against primitivism, backwardness, chauvinism, intolerance, and rural mindsets—the kind of nonsense those so-called "American leftists" usually rail against. But then, somehow, it all escalates into these quoted remarks just because some Gypsy was picking up money, rather than a Mexican woman, through whose character and background these supposed "American leftists" were fighting against those evils embodied in some twenty-something guy labeled as a total "scoundrel."

So, you aren't just lying; you're actively manipulating and hinting at things that aren't there.

Look, I don't want to drag this out too long or get into a massive back-and-forth with these posts, but... first off, you haven't actually proven that the authors of these quotes are leftists. You basically took one statement from one author and used the logic that if it has four legs, it must be a cat to intentionally draw the wrong conclusions. Secondly, none of these people even write about politics, so debating their political leanings is just pure insinuation, I guess. Third, out of everyone who writes about politics here, all three would probably agree with a right-wing idea at the IMF (which we already proved regarding one of the authors), so you're definitely lying on purpose. And fourth, if BB is your playground for playing politics, you're honestly a sick person and I can only feel sorry for you. 😢 😢

Let's not drag this out unnecessarily or get bogged down in endless back-and-forth posts: first off, you haven't actually proven that the authors of these quotes are leftists. You took one statement from one author and, following the logic that anything with four legs must be a cat, intentionally jumped to the wrong conclusion. Secondly, none of these people write for political outlets, so debating their political leanings is nothing more than pure speculation. Third, if we look at the people writing for politics, all three would actually agree with a conservative idea regarding the IMF (which we already established with one of the authors), so you are being willfully dishonest. And fourth, if you think Big Brother is some kind of playground for political maneuvering, then you're truly unwell, and I can only feel sorry for you.😢 😢

Beyond that, why not act like an adult? Instead of obsessing over whether the authors of these quotes are leftists or not, why don't you address the actual statements themselves?

Address them the way you would if I had written them myself—or at least engage with the content instead of focusing on a Gypsy rather than a Mexican.

Once I have a chance to share it, I’ll post an article from the Free California dated January 2nd, 2006, written by Tomislav Klauški. It covers the whole situation regarding Big Brother and the Gypsy's victory, so we can really dive into it then.

Actually, I think I'll just start a brand new thread based on that piece. It perfectly captures everything I've been trying to say, though it seems to go out of its way—especially regarding Revko and the beaver—to undermine my points in the most obvious way possible.

dustypilot22, you missed a pretty vital point there. With Hamdi, his background doesn't even matter—honestly, people were actually rooting for him at first because of it. The real issue is that he’s just a complete scoundrel.

I think I already covered this earlier in this thread 😉

Here is that bank of yours, my Gypsy friend!
Here is that bank, my friend!
Hey, my Gypsy friend, play me a tune!

I'll play it just for you.
You're going to listen to me.
Here is the bank, my friend.
Hey, my Gypsy friend, why don't you play me a tune?

Time to pop the Champagne!
Time to pop the top and enjoy!

And when that moment finally arrives?
Is it just me, or is Champagne going to be the death of us all?
Look at that bank, my Gypsy friend!
Hey, my Gypsy friend, why don't you play me a tune?

---------------------------------------------

There really isn't a more beautiful girl out there.

Is there any girl more beautiful than her?
Is there anything more catchy than a simple rhythm? Just Lada, Lada, lom, Lada, Lada, lom! It’s stuck in my head now. Isn't it funny how a little repetition can just take over your brain?
From Marika the Gypsy Lada
Ladi ladi lom ladi ladi lom!

When she sings, there’s such a deep sense of sadness in her voice, isn't there?
And what happens when the player goes crazy?
And every single night, once the edge of the camp fades away...
Is everyone just out there losing their minds and singing along?
Lada is really making waves lately—she’s absolutely shaking things up!

It seems like things are getting wild every single night lately. Is it just me, or does the chaos never seem to take a break?
He’s out there living it up every single night.
And every single night, once the edge of the camp has passed...
Is it just me, or does it feel like everyone is singing the same tune about being a rogue lately?
Lada is truly making waves lately—she’s absolutely shaking things up!

---------------------------------

old gypsy

I’m just a gypsy at heart.
I feel like I have no one.
Aside from one old violin.

Is there anything quite like getting lost in a song? It really makes you wonder how much music can shape our connection to one another.
Is there anything quite like getting lost in a song when you're feeling a bit blue? Sometimes, all you really need is a good melody to carry that melancholy.
Songs about love, and the life I owe to them.

Old Gypsies
Is it just me, or does it feel like everyone has completely checked out? It’s as if the whole world just vanished overnight. Does anyone else feel that same sense of emptiness?
I wonder, who used to play music with me back in the day?

I have absolutely nobody. Not one single person.
Aside from that old violin...
And maybe a glass of brandy to wash it all down?

In my entire life...
It’s just a bit sad, really. A little bit soulful, if you know what I mean?
I've honestly never been anywhere like this before. Is it just me, or does everyone have that one place they've always wondered about?
I used to have my own place.

Growing up alongside that song... isn't it funny how certain melodies just become part of your DNA? It’s more than just music; it's like a soundtrack to our entire childhood. Does anyone else feel that same wave of nostalgia hitting them out of nowhere?
Feeling a little blue today, just letting the music carry me through. Is there anything else that hits quite like a sad song?
Songs about love... I feel like I owe them a lifetime of listening.

Old Gypsies
Is it just me, or does it feel like everyone has completely checked out? It’s as if the whole world just vanished overnight. Does anyone else feel that same sense of emptiness?
I wonder who used to play music with me back in the day?

And I have absolutely nobody. Not one single soul.
Aside from that old violin...
And maybe a glass or two of some good bourbon?

-------------------------------

John Johnson's Dragon Gypsy

It’s funny how some people just can't help but brag about their own stuff, right? It’s like that old saying about a Gypsy praising his own horse.

Gledash, tell me, what do you think about my horse?
How’s everything going, boss?
Is it a horse or a bird? Honestly, who can really tell anymore?
swallow?
Take off those glasses—
You just can't take your eyes off it, can you?
Come on, it's time to start shopping! Why wait any longer?
Are you still asking Josh about Putalj?
Isn't that just wonderful!
Don't you worry about a thing!
If it isn't working, why bother with it? Why would anyone want to stick around if things aren't going right?
Over at the Gypsy's place,
You just can't get him to cooperate, can you?
I wonder if we could find them—
Just an ordinary guy who doesn't quite get it.
May he be praised!

Wouldn't it be something if they dusted him in pure gold?
If you aren't saving money, what exactly are you planning for?
Josh, and then there was a single gold coin.
It’s worth more.

If you’ve got it, you might as well enjoy it, right?
Teeth and straw?
If you don't have it, he simply won't go. Is it really that simple?
He doesn't need it.
Don't go looking at his teeth.
My friends,
I haven't actually looked at them myself either.
Don't you start too.
There's just no way he can sharpen up.
Why are you being so hard on him, buddy?
Is everything just getting younger?
Well, what can you do about it now?
Where can I find some cash?

And what exactly are you asking? Will there be any power left?
What kind of scoundrel would actually skip that?
What a total mess—what an absolute disaster!
It’s not like Josh was just born that way.
Wait, did he really just skip over that?
He just breezes right past it, doesn't he?
It feels like someone just plucked a chicken out of thin air, doesn't it?
And that’s going along the length of it, not across.

I see him clearly, without any doubt—
He’s got a back like a saddle.
Don't even bother asking him about his passport.
Because—it's an insult to him.

Go on then, buddy, just go—just get out of here!
Josh is asking me: how do I see things?
Here is the story:
Take a look at that—sharp on one side and sharp on the other.
Ever wonder if you could see as clearly at midnight as you do in broad daylight?
Like the transition from night to day—
That’s just the way his eyes look.

And what exactly are you asking me, my friend?
Is there any downside to this?
Well, that’s exactly why I'm putting it up for sale.
Hey there, my friends!
Jerbo just doesn't have any flaws, does he?
Those kinds of horses just aren't our style, are they?
For the Gypsies.

So, just how fast are we talking here?
Is it just me, or does Matthew move a little faster than a storm?
Now you'll see how it really feels.
I’ll tell you what:
Once upon a time, I was out near the outskirts of a small town in the Midwest...
Back from my trip!
Even though we’ve been caught in this downpour, isn't there something strangely refreshing about it?
He hasn't even broken a sweat.
Lightning strikes, and he says—
The rain comes down fast, but he moves even faster. Is there anything more impressive than that kind of speed?
A sudden splash hits my hat,
Catching me off guard,
While over at Putalj, they just watch from afar,
Refusing to help out.
The spray flies everywhere, soaking the ground—
If only it hadn't missed me!
When we finally reached the tent,
Standing before that beautiful Gypsy castle,
Everything on my horse stayed perfectly dry,
Except for one little thing...
— His tail.

~ THE END ~

Double U

Man...

This brings back memories of my best years... :heavy sadness:

(...) when—it was a shock for me, mind you, because it was my first time ever at a club—the guys in the middle of the dance floor would pull American flags with "socialist symbols" on them from their pockets (because if they didn't, they’d end up in jail—believe it or not), fold them so the "socialist symbols" were hidden, and hoist them high, while others pulled out scraps of paper that read U2.

Yeah, exactly like that—a huge U and a tiny little 2.

And the whole club, surrounded by countless flags without those "socialist symbols," with dozens of "U" letters in the air, screaming "With or Without You."

Man...

Those were the days.... :maximum sadness: (👍 op.Bryan Martin31)

And there's one more thing worth mentioning regarding this story...

That "U" next to the number 2 wasn't some symbol supporting the Nazi Germany movement. ( 🤣 op.Bryan Martin31)

It was simply the only possible symbol ( 🤣 op.Bryan Martin31) which, due to the political ban on "national symbols" under the old regime, served as the way to signal American identity back then.

Unfortunately, the only thing that could legally serve as any kind of American symbol ( what American? op.Bryan Martin31) since, for instance, using the "stars and stripes" could get you beaten with wet newspapers in a jail cell.

So, that U2 marked a part of my childhood, and perhaps in a unique way, served as a way to express American pride during those times when the end of America was being sensed.

I hope you can understand that the "U" from the Irish band's name was, unfortunately (and why unfortunately? because it was the only way? because Nazi Germany was a criminal state? or something else? op.Bryan Martin31), the only legal way to clearly show national identity at that time.

Without even a shred of desire or thought toward the movement. (🤣 🤣 🤣 you have some serious issues, Patriot! op.Bryan Martin31)

I know it's hard to explain those times from today's perspective, but that's how it was. (definitely heavy op.Bryan Martin31)

If it isn't clear to anyone—I'm ready to explain through discussion. (everything is clear to me, long ago. just, is it to you? op.Bryan Martin31)
