Zeke said:A few years back, I was just so different from everyone else. My brain worked so differently that I didn't even feel like I belonged among "people."
I kept thinking, "Hello? Am I living in some delusion, or is it them?" Something had to shift. Nowadays, I sort of blend in with those "average folks" who exhaust themselves and everyone else with these shallow, meaningless, earthly trivialities—but I still feel like an outlier. I don't fit into that whole mold of the "perfect person" who always has to be beautiful, smart, and chatter about useless things in that typical feminine way. I think it shows how much I try to fit in and actually care about everyday life, and honestly, it makes me sick when I see people making such a huge deal out of ridiculous things... I gave up on philosophizing a long time ago because I realized there's no point. Human brains are just too small to grasp this entire mess called life and all its secrets. It's hard to wrap your head around those dimensions of parallel worlds or whatever—it all just depends on your perspective. As humans, we're limited by how we perceive the world; we'll never uncover those terrifying truths surrounding us, and maybe that’s for the best.

It feels like you were just describing me 🙂. Especially regarding the stupid stuff people obsess over; sometimes it feels like they're living in these little boxes they'll never find their way out of to actually understand something deeper. I fit in a lot better now than when I first wrote this thread. I have to say, philosophy changed me for the better; it opened my eyes. Maybe it also just has to do with growing up and maturing. Either way, it's much easier for me to process things now. Stuff that used to drive me crazy is totally straightforward and non-mystical today.

quote:
"As humans, we're limited by how we perceive the world; we'll never uncover those terrifying truths surrounding us, and maybe that’s for the best."

Why do you think we're limited? Don't think like that. Just think that life is exactly what it needs to be, this reality is what it is, and there aren't any secrets or limitations. Reality is just whatever you see it as. No one is limited unless they want to be.

quote:
"it all just depends on your perspective. As humans, we're limited by how we perceive the world; we'll never uncover those terrifying truths surrounding us, and maybe that’s for the best."

Look, listen to this. Every angle you look from is yours, and it's the only one. You aren't limited! So you'll never know "everything"? What am I supposed to say, that you already know it all? Everything is just an abstraction, and thinking like that just leads to frustration and disappointment (quote: "we'll never uncover those terrifying truths... because maybe that's for the best"). Every day brings something new; don't set boundaries for yourself. Stay open to new insights and accept it as the reality that shapes your spirit and body.

"What do you think, does the universe have a boundary and what's beyond it?" That sounds like a stupid question to me. Why should I care if there's a boundary? I don't know if you get what I'm trying to say, but that's just how I think and how I function.

Yeah, true... Believe me, philosophy pretty much holds the answer to everything. It’s just a matter of whether you're actually ready—and I mean strong enough—to face those answers and tear down all the mental walls you've built up just to finally step out of the box you're living in.
