It’s definitely not allowed just because Lipi.hr got banned

The real point of this mess is just to show what a total joke Bajki is, honestly. He's basically just sucking up to himself, which—let's be real—is pretty much his favorite hobby at this point... lol🙂>

Let's see if you're still going to be this cool when it comes to how you react.

Hey editors... look, if you're really going to go ahead and ban me, then just do me a favor and ban that other guy from the Action2 crowd too. Might as well get it all over with at once!

Are you kidding me right now? You really think you can come at my family like that? To sit there and act like you know anything about how I was raised—implying I grew up in an environment like yours... honestly, just back off. That’s low, even for you.

The whole point here is just showing what a total joke Bajki is—basically just feeding himself his own hype, which I guess is his favorite hobby...🙂

It’s allowed since ironbadger31 didn't ban Lipog or Action2. It used to be simple—you insult someone's mom, you get banned. Period. No excuses. But now? Apparently, we can "negotiate" that? Honestly, sounds pretty stupid to me. If someone can't keep their cool or lacks basic self-control, that's what moderators are there for—to hand out a ban so the person can chill out and get their head straight, right?

dustyscout53 said:The reason they didn't ban ironbadger31 or Lipog or Action2 is because it's technically allowed. It used to be pretty simple—if you start swearing at someone's mother, you're gone. Period. No excuses. But now? Apparently, we can just "negotiate" those kinds of things. Honestly, if you ask me, that is incredibly stupid. If someone just can't keep their cool or lacks basic self-control, that's what moderators are for—to hand out a ban so the person can take a breather, chill out, and get their head straight.

So, what’s the big takeaway from this whole thread? You've still got a long way to go before you reach that level of enlightenment... We should have just stayed right here. But I guess some people just can't help themselves—they have to jump in and show everyone exactly who they really are. Like, seeing a standard moderator post and deciding, "Yeah, I'm definitely going to trash this," right?

Well, since we're all being honest and showing our true colors anyway, I figured, why not just go all the way?

It’s a good thing you aren't the only moderator on duty—at least when things go sideways, someone else can step in and fix it.

Honestly, we wouldn't even need moderators if people didn't have such obvious, stubborn mindsets—you can see them playing out right here in this thread. 😉

The problem is, they’ve all gone full Borg. Totally assimilated... perfectly obedient... completely submissive...

The whole point here seems to be ironbadger31 demonstrating to the community how you can actually get away with insulting someone's family. Under specific circumstances, of course. And depending on which user you happen to be.

Given the "evidence" the OP is throwing around, I suspect the real goal is just highlighting some perceived leftist bias—even if it's pretty obvious to everyone that Action was mostly just being rhetorical rather than actually attacking anyone in the heat of the debate.

I mean, once you've established this supposed political bias, there’s always this need to balance the scales, right? So certain right-wing outbursts somehow pass without consequence. (Hint: just swearing isn't enough to get you banned, apparently.)

Still, a clever little setup. 👍

Honestly, I don't see what political parties have to do with any of this—whether you're left-wing or right-wing is totally irrelevant here. This really just comes down to the individual character of the people hanging out on this forum.

Good grief, you can't even say a little something without people taking offense!

It feels like a direct assault on our cultural heritage!

I mean, back home, when you want to tell someone they’re absolutely one of the good ones, you might just say, "You're my kind of person!" 🙂

Jessica Nguyen85 said:Given all the extra "proof" the OP is throwing out there, I’m guessing they just want to point out some blatant leftist bias—even though it's pretty obvious the mods were just being more rhetorical than actually engaging in a real debate.

I mean, once you start crying about "leftist bias" (whatever that even means lately), people feel like they have to overcompensate, so those right-wing outbursts just fly under the radar. (Hint: just swearing isn't enough or necessary to get banned, apparently.)

But hey, it was well thought out 👍

Lipi got banned (totally deserved if you ask me), but Fairytale didn't, so I honestly have no clue where you're getting these high-and-mighty conclusions from.

And look, I've been there too... maybe once or twice... way back when... I've definitely dropped an F-bomb or two and gotten banned for it, and I didn't even make a fuss about it.

I really don't get why it's so hard for you guys to just accept how complex Fairytale's personality is, which is exactly what ironbadger31 was trying to show us..

Just to clear things up—ironbadger31 didn't ban Fairytale.

Inquisitor2002 said:I mean, I’ve been there myself... once or twice... way back in the day, actually—lost my cool and got banned a couple of times, but honestly? I wasn't even mad about it.

When it comes to getting played, even Lip wasn't against being taken for a ride—but honestly, that didn't do much to help ironbadger31.

Inquisitor2002 said:I don't get why everyone's struggling to see how complex Fairytale's character actually is—especially after the way ironbadger31 laid it out so perfectly... right?

That’s where the whole mess with Fairytale started—and honestly, that doesn't make her swearing okay. She should've been grounded for that... regardless of what was going on around her.

Man, people just don't know how to do their jobs—then they act all surprised when they end up in a mess like this?

Let's ask ironbadger31—did you actually ban Lip just because he started taking shots at someone's family?

Just wanted to touch upon our good old fundamental rules...

... respecting individuals and listening to all sides of the story are the core values and basic principles of order here on the Politics subforum. Everything else we stand for flows directly from them.

So, here’s the deal. Linden lost his cool because he was triggered. He was triggered by a post where Hannah Edwards said (after cracking a joke about Pavelić's stinky suit and the chimney at Auschwitz) that Linden "grew up in similar environments". It felt to me like she might have poked at something we don't know about—you know, an emotional nerve, which I actually explained using my own life as an example in a different thread—so I just closed the topic instead of banning anyone.

Then, Hannah Edwards opens a whole new thread in the Lounge demanding a ban, while simultaneously claiming her mother is sacred and that such topics are taboo. Apparently, things like upbringing or childhood environments aren't taboo for her, based on those links above—and honestly, you shouldn't be messing around with that stuff. After I politely tried to explain to her that she's human too and that she should just let it go and make peace with Linden, she ended up swearing at my mother.

And now, we have this thread. 😉

dustyscout53, I just replied to Jessica Nguyen85's post.

Anyway, Linden is banned, end of story. But honestly, I'm more curious about why they went ahead and banned Zagorakis and LjBB right along with him... because from what I could see, they weren't even swearing or doing anything crazy enough to actually warrant a ban.

Maybe it was just for the vibes... or something...

Lip is banned, and that's that. What really gets me thinking, though, is why Zagorakis and LjBB were banned right along with him. From what I could see, they weren't swearing or doing anything else that would actually warrant a ban, right?

Is it just about the overall vibe... or maybe...

Momentum.

By the way, let’s clear one thing up right off the bat. I don't view all swearing the same way—it's my call, and honestly, I have a right to my own specific moderation style (not that I'm naming names regarding my colleagues here). There’s a huge difference between someone losing it because they were provoked versus someone just being rude for no reason. It’s not the same when someone snaps at a troll compared to when they're reacting to a total jerk. And it's definitely not the same when someone gets heated in the middle of a great debate versus someone using profanity just to start a fight and wreck the whole thread.

That’s what dustyscout53 doesn't quite seem to get—honestly, I think this whole thread is just a convenient way for him to work through some personal hang-ups by taking shots at me (well, at my moderation). But look, this discussion has a completely different purpose, and dustyscout53, it would be great if you could stop trying to make everything about yourself again. 🙂

A-haaaa... so, I guess the whole point of this thread is to show how Hannah Edwards is... what's the word... a total flip-flopper. Which, let’s be honest, is just one more thing on the long list of traits people love to pin on liberals these days...

I’m well aware there’s a certain "crowd" out there that loves digging through old posts just to smear someone's reputation... but when a moderator starts doing that? That’s a first for me.

I'd say the first part of that is somewhat true—but the second half? Not so much. It feels like you're just adding extra seasoning to the dish because the raw truth wasn't spicy enough for you. 😉

ironbadger31 said:Hannah Edwards starts a whole new thread on the forum demanding a ban, all while preaching about how her mother is some untouchable saint and how certain topics are off-limits—you know, the whole "childhood upbringing" thing. Apparently, those things aren't exactly taboo for her, based on the links she posted, and she thinks it's fine to just mess around with those sensitive subjects. After I calmly explained to her that she’s just as much a part of this messy reality as anyone else and she needs to let it go—basically telling her to make peace with Linden—she just started screaming profanities at me.

So, this thread is the result. 😉
