The ego is just what happens when you split an egg into its yolk and white.

Oh, please. The ego is nothing more than a sunny-side up egg. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

They are independent, free, and carry themselves with a certain feminine pride and grace.πŸ™‚

Meanwhile, men are nothing more than sycophants.πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™„

Dogs are such incredibly respectful creatures, I swear.πŸ™„

Cats are just built differently here in the Statesβ€”they’re basically the most respected pets you can have in an American household.

They even act like they own the place, turning to you like, "HEY THERE, LITTLE BUDDY!"πŸ‘ 😁

Dogs are incredibly perceptive creatures, for goodness' sake.

From an owner's perspective? Absolutely. From anyone else's? Not necessarily. It all boils down to how you train them.

Ha! As if an animal could even be considered "unfair." Since when have animals been known for their capacity for deception?πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

It’s funny how when you spend enough time with people, you start seeing the similarities.

First it’s the hair, then maybe the vibe or something.

But honestly, everyone has a certain animalistic look to their face if you squint.

Take you, for exampleβ€”you’re a total grizzly bear.😁

I mean, anything is possible; those cats of yours look like they’ve been painted with every color from all nine of their lives.

Jack Harris3 said:You know, all those symbols... snakes, apples, stuff like that...😁

Actually, over in India, dogs are considered unclean animals... they don't just let them wander into temples, for instance...😁

Forget the symbolism and the sacred cows for a second. Just go back and read what was actually written one more time. To me, this looks like a classic case of people trying to preserve their ego... they scribble some vague, nonsensical sentence and work really hard to make it sound completely incomprehensible. That way, nobody dares to ask them for clarification, because they're too afraid of looking like an idiot who just doesn't "get" such profound wisdom.😁
Well, I’m asking. And I expect an explanation of what the author was actually trying to say.😁
🀣And I don't want some vague summary either. I want the specific quote, followed by a clear breakdown of its meaning... so we can finally see what on earth Q actually thinks it means...

Fine, let me try. Dogs are basically subservient to their owners, sure, but they aren't always exactly friendly to their own kind. They aren't the cleanest creatures, eitherβ€”they scavenge through trash and will go after anything if they get the chance...

Basically, they're low-level, messy animals that serve as a metaphor for the lowest forms of consciousness and raw, animalistic impulses. 😳 😁

It’s a bit heavy, isn't it? Comparing things to people and saying they aren't the same... 🀣
You know how it works with those mirrors we hold up, right? We usually end up hating the things we actually recognize in ourselves most. πŸ˜‰

Anyway, regarding my guy, the only thing that matters is whether he's covered in mud from running through the woods or not.
He’s only ever rude to other males of his species, always feeling the need to prove himself just like any other guy would. 🀣

But we drifted off into talking about four-legged animals, and honestly, none of that really ties back to that original sentence. 😁

...maybe something like this...

...the egoβ€”as in the selfish ego, the one that "smothers" the light...the one stuck in the darkness of ignorance (...I say I'm not... heh... heh... heh... but maybe I am....)

...the egoβ€”as in the selfless ego... the divine self... (...I am who I am... ho... ho... ho... and I know I am...), the one that provides the light, or rather, the one that *is* the light... and the one that recognizes that same light in others.......πŸ˜•

You know how it works with those mirrors... we spend most of our time spitting on the very things we claim to recognize as our own... πŸ˜‰

By the way, it’s just typical for Jack Harris3 to focus on nothing but whether some guy's been getting dirty running through the woods or not...
She’s just plain rude, especially toward other men, and she feels like she has to constantly prove herself just like any other guy does... 🀣

Look, we completely veered off into talking about four-legged animals, and honestly, none of that has anything to do with what was actually said... 😁

Not even close... πŸ˜‚
So, what else is actually being done... 😁

One of the biggest delusions people have, especially when they think they're part of some grand movement, is believing they actually hold more sway than the symbols that represent them...
I mean, honestly... who wouldn't want to be more powerful than a symbol... πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

But then again, who wouldn't want to be more powerful than a symbol? πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

The real delusion belongs to those who don't realize a symbol is completely powerless without people to believe in it. 😬

exactly. πŸ‘
so why don't you go ahead and point out anyone who actually isn't thinking... 🀣
thought and matter are just two sides of the same coin...

The ego... honestly, maybe I’m wrong, but it’s just a substitute for actual personality, for emotions, for who we really are.
We tend to put it right up in front of us, using it like some kind of shield whenever we feel threatened.
But the ego is part of us, just like any other energy center... so if you try to deny the ego, you're basically denying yourself. It’s a bit like how priests try to deny their own sexual drives.

But the ego is just another part of us, much like any other energy center. Denying the ego is essentially denying ourselves, similar to how priests might try to suppress their natural instincts.

:
πŸ™„ What about the darker stuff? Jealousy, hatred, greed... is that our "true self" too? If someone’s personality leans toward being hypersexual, does that make it their authentic core? πŸ™„ And honestly, where do we draw the line between the Self and the ego?

Who are we, really? I mean, we are basically just a collection of our own emotions.
Sometimes you have to put up a defense, and that’s usually where the ego comes into play.

If someone's character leans too heavily toward being sexually reckless, I guess we aren't talking about pure emotion anymoreβ€”we're looking at a behavioral pattern. Sexual drive is part of who we are, just like the ego, but it can get totally out of whack because of outside influences. It's like certain energy centers in your body get dialed up or down by whatever's happening around you.

In a broader sense, yeah, we are everything: the will to live, sexual drive, the ego, love, intuition... all of it. But those are just different layers or aspects of our personality. You could say sexual drive is just a lower level of love, or something like thatβ€”if you even believe there's a connection between sex and love in the first place.

I’m talking about emotions in a much broader sense here.
I don't mean your temporary mood swingsβ€”like being head over heels for someone one minute or absolutely livid the next... I mean emotions as this deep, spiritual state that just happens to use the mind as its tool.

So, what exactly should we be identifying ourselves with?
