I can't speak for how foreigners feel, but I know that when I first heard that other version of Ederlezi—I think it was a Romanian Romani version—that song sounded so beautiful that Bregovicev's arrangement (if you can even call it that) felt kind of ridiculous to me, especially since he signed off on it like he actually wrote the damn thing...

I don't have anything against people liking him, but it's just not my vibe. It doesn't feel authentic enough for me.

It all comes down to personal taste, really. Personally, I'm not really into Metallica and I don't go overboard with the whole goth scene either, but I find the way he navigates the world just fascinating.🙂
