I mean, what am I even supposed to do when it’s clearly way out of my league 😢.. crimsonorca86, did you happen to be the one who wrote that presentation? 😁

Roger Reed49 said:Why are you even getting defensive? You actually cited some moron's stupid link like it was a legit source.
It’s basically just drunk rambling around a campfire.

The guy really is an idiot and totally uneducated,
but honestly, he's just repeating those old legends you hear at a dive bar down in Jersey.

And he isn't the only one out there exaggerating the numbers, either.

Then you've got Smith, who was part of that whole violent gang from the Midwest that ended up in prison for jumping people—they even killed one guy, though they walked free because of some legal loopholes during the trial.
We're talking about over a thousand homes destroyed for no reason, all just so some other Mexicans could line their pockets.

Sadly, I didn't, though man, wouldn't it be nice if I could actually get paid three mil a year by the government for stuff like that?
not to mention getting free office space and a high-end workstation thrown in for good measure.

crimsonorca86 said:Man, I wish. I’d happily write all this crap if they were paying me like three million bucks a year in federal grants
not to mention tossing in free office space and a top-of-the-line workstation

So much aggression, so much love... and you know that's your favorite part, right? Are you seriously trying to act all tough here?

Roger Reed49 said:You call it being aggressive, but I think you just love the drama... honestly, maybe you're just doing this for the attention.

There are over a thousand homes needing repairs from federal disaster relief efforts.

I guess people like you, who act this foolishly, end up footing the bill through your taxes. 🙂
But then again, someone else already tucked that money away somewhere else.

goldenmoose9 said:The government’s got 1,006 houses they need to rebuild, right?

How many idiots like you have to work and pay taxes just to fund that? 🙂
And meanwhile, someone else is just sitting there, pocketing all the cash...

Listen, you moron—taxes are a fixed thing, okay? It doesn't matter if some dummy gets their shack repaired, or if Cacic decides to dump that money into a new highway, or if some minister blows a massive pile of cash on something useless, or if some shady guy just skims off the top again... honestly, I couldn't care less.

But it's a whole different story when that old guy starts talking trash while you're out here backing him up.

He settles scores with political opponents by physically assaulting them with chains, yet somehow manages to claim he stays clean twice a year.
But even with 1006 houses, there are still ruins standing everywhere.😁

And in San Francisco, there are only 9 Mexicans.

I mean, just on my own block, there are a few houses like that...

People always talk about how San Francisco used to deal with all those illegal evictions back in the day, right?
Honestly, I have no clue exactly how many Mexicans are hanging around San Francisco these days, but I highly doubt there are many true San Franciscans left, you know? It feels like nowadays, most people calling themselves locals actually look more like they wandered in from the rural Midwest.

People say that back in the day, San Francisco saw quite a few illegal evictions. Is there any truth to those stories?
I honestly have no idea how many Mexicans are living in San Francisco these days, but I highly doubt there are many true San Franciscans left. It feels like most people calling themselves locals nowadays actually look more like they're from the surrounding suburbs.

So, who exactly qualifies as a "true San Franciscan"?

dustypilot22 said:So, who actually counts as a "true San Franciscan" anyway?

In my book, you're a real one if at least one of your parents was born right there in San Francisco,
and honestly, isn't that basically how it works for Washington, D.C., or pretty much any other major city out there?

crimsonorca86 said:You’re only a true local if one or both of your parents were born in San Francisco.
The same logic applies to Washington, D.C., or pretty much any major city out there.

Oh, come on now...

I actually heard that Borivoj Radaković is a true Washington, D.C. native.

But tell me this—was your grandfather a true Bjelovar resident?

I don't think the "true San Franciscans" would quite agree with you on that one.

Well, one of them counts because both he and his old man were born right there in Bjelovar, whereas the other doesn't really fit the bill since he was born in Bjelovar but his folks actually hail from way over in Virje.

dustypilot22 said:A "true San Franciscan" probably wouldn't see eye to eye with you on that one.

But hey, that’s just how it goes, isn't it? You've got those folks who claim they're locals the second they unpack their boxes in a new city, while others can live there for generations and still feel like outsiders,

because in their hearts, they're still just passing through, forever tied to that small town they left behind.

go2slep said:That’s fair enough. You definitely have people who consider themselves full citizens of a city the second they move in, while others can live there for generations and still feel like outsiders.

It's because they feel like they're just passing through, whereas their heart really belongs to the small town they grew up in.

I don't think that's quite the point.

The issue is that the "true Splitters" simply won't accept your definition of what makes someone a true Splitter.

In other words, if you decide someone is a "real Splitter," the locals aren't going to nod in agreement.

The point is that the "real Splitters" don't exactly agree with how you're defining what makes someone a true Splitter.

I suppose those are just local quirks that the locals have every right to claim. I can't really go telling them how they should
I'm just speaking for myself, I guess.
