URGENT: How to disable trackpad on Windows 10 when it's missing from Device Manager and Mouse settin

Hi there... everything is pretty much laid out in the title, I suppose... I just wanted to add that even when I tried accessing the Synaptics trackpad control panel through the designated Device Manager, nothing would open, and honestly, none of the other software I tried seemed to help at all... To make matters worse, I don't have a physical button to just toggle it off, and when I checked the official Synaptics website, I couldn't find any compatible drivers listed... If anyone could offer a bit of advice or a way forward, I would truly appreciate it...

PS: I'm using an HP laptop.

If I recall correctly, you won't actually see "trackpad" listed in the Device Manager; it'll probably just show up as Mouse. You can just right-click it and hit Disable. Alternatively, check your Windows settings—there might be an option somewhere like "Disable trackpad when typing." Honestly, I'm curious, why is this bothering you so much in the first place?

I'm pretty sure there’s a way to just shut it down—or at least disable it—straight from the BIOS, but you’re gonna have to dig through the menus to find the right setting... it's buried in there somewhere.
