" .... If you've got the guts.",
yeah, I mean, honestly? Itβs just pathetic not to chase your dream. And even worse if you don't even have oneβeven if that dream is just a quiet evening stroll, a killer burger, or seeing someone you love smile..
but, looking at everyone around me where "everyone's desires get all tangled up until you can barely tell which ones are actually yours," I always think people basically fall into two camps; sheep and leaders, captains and passengers, leaves getting tossed around by every little breeze, drifters and...
maybe someone just likes being a leaf, you know? Just letting go and letting life carry them along. And hey, that's a choice too, and if that's what they want, fine;
but isn't it kinda sad to live in this massive world full of potential and still not grab a little piece of it for yourself?
it's like being at a huge feast at a fancy hotel, starving like crazy, but telling yourself you can't eat because you're scared; (maybe the food's bad, maybe it's rude, maybe people will judge, maybe it's unhealthy, or maybe it'll just taste terrible so you won't be disappointed, etc., etc., etc...), man, just grab a drumstick and dig in!
when you're actually living your dream, life feels like a song. Sometimes it's upbeat, sometimes it's a bit heavy, but you're mostly just singing it, and it sounds best out in the mountains,
it would be such a waste while we're here not to just belt it out at least once, loud enough to shake things up...
and you don't even need that much courage for the song, just a tiny bit, I guess.
PS
we know that better than most, those of us who don't have much singing left in us.π
