Look, Baphi, we are dealing with actual witches here! πŸ™‚

Well... she’s lucky. If I were my own biggest obstacle, there wouldn't even be much of a problem to begin with.

Quote : Solaris said:1. Mini-skirts: either use a blindfold, or maybe one of those horse blinkers?
Or simply limit all communication to women who aren't wearing mini-skirts.

Alright, fine, I’ve already tried that. Since I'm a bit nearsighted, I end up taking off my glasses only to have to put on sunglasses instead. But the real issue arises once night falls, especially when we head out to places where the concentration is so high that escaping them becomes nearly impossible.

After an encounter like that, I'm practically incapacitated for any kind of magical work for a day or two.

Quote : Solaris said:2. Ego deflation:
This might sting a little, but it's strictly for therapeutic purposesβ€”for your own good:
"You're just a standard-issue fluffy warlock who's merely pretending to be dark and wicked." πŸ˜›

Ihhh....that doesn't even compare to the things I tell myself. 😁
Me, dark and wicked? Please. I am a gentle lambβ€”mild, quiet, and perpetually terrified. I can say whatever I want here because nobody can physically lay a hand on me.😁

Quote : Solaris said:I hope it wasn't too traumatic. If it hurt, we can provide anesthesia next time. My dear. πŸ™‚

Actually, anesthesia sounds good... you can never have enough painkillers. 😈

Could you maybe walk me through a specific instance where you felt the influence of the wicked was actually at play?
I mean, just having the TV on in the background or dealing with small distractions doesn't really feel like enough of a reason to lose my focus...
Anyone who works for a living is going to hit a wall eventually... Perhaps what’s actually needed is just a solid night of sleep and staying hydrated with water instead of reaching for another beer 😎

The constant presence of television and suggestive imagery just doesn't feel like a sufficient reason for such profound distraction.

Hmm... but that is precisely what I have been arguing all along. It shouldn't be difficult to observe how the mindless noise of TV and the sight of scantily clad women can fracture a man's focus.

Consider this... right before my very eyes, the Devil himself managed to shut down three local shops when I desperately needed supplies for some magical work. One was on vacation, the second shifted its operating hours, and in the third, there was a fatal accident.

Uh, uh......😈

wiredbear2 said:Anyone who works is going to get tired eventually. Perhaps you should try getting some decent sleep and drinking water instead of beer.😎

Ihhh... I certainly don't drink that much... honestly... I've had maybe seven or eight beers in the last fourteen days... it's practically negligible. And as a rule, I don't consume alcohol on weekdays because of my profession.

Hmm... Baphi, if you’re getting distracted that easily, maybe magic just isn't your calling. 😒

But hey, there's always a way to fix that...πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜›

And what am I supposed to do about that? Even Jesus wasn't meant to be an orator, yet look how that turned out for him. 😁

How? Exactly how?

If you ever take a page out of Raymond E. Feist’s book, your life plan basically involves packing up and leaving town, enlisting in the Army, heading straight to the front lines to defend some fortress against a massive horde of Eastern invaders wielding sharpened wooden swordsβ€”and then, somehow, getting transported to a parallel dimension where you get to master an entirely different flavor of magic... πŸ˜›

As for me, I consider myself a Chaos Magician. There’s a whole lot to unpack thereβ€”though I suspect you’re already pretty familiar with the basicsβ€”and if you want to dive deep, you can check out www.chaosmagic.com
Honestly, I just find that open, non-dogmatic way of practicing so much more appealing...

...but on a deeper level, I practice Tier Rath. I actually coined the term myself; it's more of a philosophical framework, even though it has practical applications. A fair number of people have experimented with some of my techniques and swear they work, so I guess I shouldn't talk too much nonsense about it. I have this great little anecdote I love to share: a friend of mine who studies Norse mythology once mentioned that in some ancient tongueβ€”I forget the exact language, ah...β€”Tier Rath translates to "Pillars of Grace." Mmm... quite convenient, don't you think? Now I have a mystical sign to brag about... hehehehe....

I know enough to get by. I can hold my own.

Is there any actual literature on this online?

Any terminology involving the Pillars carries an intensely mystical weight, does it not? 😁

Do you have anything posted online regarding this?

There's actually some info right here. Just a heads-upβ€”I chose certain names and terms purely for the aesthetic, pulling from classic RPG sets. Honestly, I just can't stand it when people start bickering over half-mile-long, overly complicated titles just to sound "serious." Arcane Weave is a damn good term, okay? πŸ˜‰

If you have any really specific questions... go ahead.

Look... I usually just skip over terminology entirely and mentally translate everything into terms that actually make sense to me πŸ˜‰.

hollowviper72 said:If you have any truly specific questions... go ahead.

I've read through it and I don't have any questions. Honestly, if the system works for you the way you intend, then both praise and criticism become entirely redundant, wouldn't you agree?

Ryan Wilson2 said:Wait, how? Seriously, how?

It’s actually pretty simple! 😁

The trick is to marry someone who's totally unattractive, asexual, and just wants a quiet lifeβ€”that way, you basically neutralize each other out. πŸ˜› 😁 😁 😁

One should simply marry an unattractive, asexual, and quiet woman just so you can both effectively neutralize one another. πŸ˜› 😁 😁 😁

Ihhh....I would much rather remain alone. πŸ˜›

What kind of Devil would want a neutralized relationship?

Have you even looked at the questions I haven't answered yet? 😁

I don't want stagnation.

But... since we are on the subject of those Devilish apparitions.

The Devil has once again manifested in the form of a summons to court, where they will mercilessly strip me of my driver's license, effectively barring me from escaping the civilized world for the solace of the mountains and the wilderness. It seems the Devil remains quite active in assuming feminine guises, with the sole purpose of distracting spiritually enlightened individuals.

You're wrong about that. The devil was actually in my beer. 😁
The devil is still very much active, taking on feminine forms just to distract people who are trying to stay spiritually focused.
😈

Well, since you're already dabbling in devilish business like horoscopes, I hope you didn't just go through the trouble of memorizing them all for nothing... 😁

o... the devil really does tend to show up wearing the mask of Boredom. everything that’s actually worth doingβ€”anything truly constructiveβ€”starts feeling less and less fun because, let's face it, it's hard work. then you find yourself spiraling into this general sense of grayness, just a total lack of excitement. so, naturally, you start chasing after Fun. but what things are actually fun? you see my point?

πŸ™‚ Sweetie, walk me through what happened with this whole driver's license mess so we can get it sorted out. πŸ™‚

As for the other thing... the best way to deal with one female devil is to find another one and throw them both into a mud pit to fight it out. πŸŽ‰ πŸ™‚

Or just tell me who this person is that's giving you such a hard timeβ€”I'll step in and handle it. πŸ™‚ πŸ˜‰
