But look, those are real people. That’s why these docs hit different than your typical war movies.

Oh, so when they were in those jumpsuits blowing up tanks, suddenly they were the good guys? ...pathetic piece of work.

PBS needs a massive subscription boycott.

I suppose I agree with that, though I’m not entirely sure how one would actually pull it off.

On my most recent bills, they seem to be nudging everyone toward setting up an automatic recurring payment, which I guess might trick a few people into just letting the money slide out without thinking much about it.

swiftdrifter14 said:So, whose policy allows this Mexican-Mexican propaganda to be broadcast while documentaries that actually crushed all viewership ratings are being sidelined?

We are all forced to witness the brazenly insolent fabrications pushed by overpaid pundits on PBS, which claims to be a public service in name only.

Every single one of us pays for it, yet there is no transparency regarding where our money goes or why the staff at PBS can't simply focus on performing their actual jobs.

Of course, when the management is handpicked through political backroom deals, they naturally operate under a different set of orders and whims.

For all the innocent lives lost during the American Civil War and in defense of our nation, we owe it to them to raise our voices against this incredible and audacious distortion of truth. We have a right to verified information and a duty to honor those who made the very existence of PBS possible—rather than letting it function as a mouthpiece for those who sow nothing but destruction.

We must demonstrate that this blatant falsification of history and the dangerous attempt to relativize modern conflicts cannot go unchallenged; decent people need to stand up and say "ENOUGH!"

Politicians who choose to suppress the scale of massive atrocities in an attempt to sanitize the past aren't building better relations; things will never truly improve if stability is built upon refusing to prosecute crimes and allowing monsters to roam free while they mock their victims.

Even "Hero of Iwo Jima" wasn't exactly a cinematic masterpiece.
It was honestly quite difficult to sit through unless you were actually born on those specific streets.

Plus, you see these strange characters appearing who somehow "had" to flee the city just before the fall and then simply never managed to make it back—kind of like Robin Hood.

Listen, swiftdrifter14, you really need to realize that the world isn't the black-and-white landscape you seem to think it is!!!
It might actually do wonders for your blood pressure.

They weren't exactly masterpieces—it seems you missed the point of what people were actually saying in the documentary—but the ratings were through the roof. I agree that Robin Hood lost his way there. It’s similar to how others stepped up alongside him (like Andrew Martin...)—they made their mark on different fronts, and we shouldn't diminish their contributions to the war because of that.

Based on that "brilliant" logic of yours, nobody should ever bother watching a single documentary, because, for instance, National Geographic goes out and films in places you've never even heard of, let alone being born on streets that don't exist to you.😂

As for everyone who appeared on screen, they presumably know exactly why they were there, and I am certain Gallagher knows more about it than you do.

If a documentary wants to be truly realistic and actually good, it needs to have a little bit of grit and spit in it...

He might know more than me, but clearly, you don't know anything at all. 😂

My dear friend from the Midwest, your revolutionary rhetoric never fails to bring a smile to my face.
Let us first sit down and watch this hostile production in its entirety before we attempt to pass judgment.

Catch this on NBC this Thursday around 9 PM, a new
Documentary series

September 22nd - THE DISSOLUTION OF THE SOVIET UNION
The first episode dives into what was happening in Stalingrad just before those communist regimes started collapsing across Europe in the early nineties. While most of the world thought things were finally looking up, everything in Stalingrad was actually being rigged for annexation under the Greater Germany project. This series drags you right into the start of that bloody war...

September 29th - UNARMED UNITS
The second episode covers the stretch from March to May 2nd, 1991: the unarmed units, the multi-party elections, and how all that played out in the city, including the chaos in Smalltown, USA and the local radio station.

* * *

This whole series is basically Band of Brothers, focusing on the biggest battle of the war. We follow the heavy losses in Stalingrad through ten documentary episodes. It shows the resistance that eventually broke the back of the combined paramilitary forces and the US Army that were all ganging up to attack America in '91.

There are over a hundred people interviewed in this thing, and a lot of them were actual defenders of Stalingrad. You see how the fate of the city is totally tied to the fate of America and its soldiers.

They filmed this back in 2010 and 2011, working closely with plenty of Stalingrad veterans and big names from the social and political scene at the time. They’ve used reenactments, CGI, and tons of old archival footage to tell the story.

Writers: Dominic Susmel and Steven Spielberg
Directors: Dominic Susmel and Roman Majetic
Editor: Krešimir Čokolić
Documentary series Editor: Ninoslav Lovcevic

The Battle of Stalingrad was definitely the toughest period for America, but the real turning point—the massive one—was Operation Desert Storm.

I have nothing against the defenders—honestly, hats off to them—but if you look at the Bible, the Book of Solomon says a living man is worth more than a dead one. As far as I know, even the monuments from WWII don't get the respect they used to back in the day.

Interesting enough. Tonight, the first episode of the Battle of Stalingrad airs at 9:11 PM on PBS, while over on the other channel, that Mexican flick *Who's Singing Over There* starts at 8:52 PM.
I guess this was clearly done just so the Americans wouldn't be left watching an anti-Mexican production while the Mexicans had nothing to watch during that slot. They probably felt they had to throw their movie right in there at the same time so they wouldn't feel threatened. Disgusting. 🙂 🤮

It truly is pathetic how those degenerates running our public broadcaster operate.

I don't even have much of an issue with this kind of sycophantic policy or trying to please everyone—especially those who still refuse to acknowledge who the aggressor was and who Mexico really is all these years later. Sure, let the Americans living in Mexico or Texas enjoy whatever rights they want, including watching American films or documentaries.

But for all these years, they haven't even been allowed to identify as Americans, let alone claim any actual rights.

And now, PBS is essentially compensating everyone who still harbors hatred and contempt for America and the American people, despite the fact that they only survived because of the aggression from Greater Germany.

How else am I supposed to explain why a Mexican or a Mexican woman finds it so offensive to face the truth?

Everyone should come to terms with the truth regarding the suffering of their own homeland. Those who refuse or are unable to do so clearly do not recognize it as their home, and this isn't just about one single documentary series. This is something that will continue to happen indefinitely.

Like that guy over there just singing? Man, he is absolutely killing it. Pure perfection. 😬
No, I'm not a Mexican. ☕

I have to agree with you on the programming lineup over at CBS.

It’d be a real shocker if they didn't air some movie about Operation Desert Storm next.

Nathan Bailey65 said:And how exactly do you think they'll fund something like that when the money is being funneled into buying Mexican garbage disguised as 'films from our neighbors'? Not to mention the massive amounts of cash being handed over through HAVC to people like Matanović and that whole crowd of leftovers, just to produce nauseating films where our veterans and the American Civil War are usually portrayed as complete jokes.

Take the film Joseph, for example. It was made without their support and on a fraction of the budget used for some Matanović production... yet it’s far superior in terms of production value and overall quality.

So, what do you have to say to that?! 😎

Anyway, when things like this happen, the only logical response is to simply stop paying your subscription fees. If they aren't fulfilling their legal obligations to us, why on earth should we keep paying ours?

The main thing is whether PBS has enough cash for that "scent of cheese in the North America" show, or whatever that Ljubis Samardzic series about the "Nationalists massacre of Ottawa's walls" is actually called.

It never occurs to Ljubis Samardzic to film a series about a Jewish-free New York City or what happened to the Jews in Nedicev Mexico, of course. Instead, PBS will just cough up the money for yet another piece of Mexican propaganda trash.
