I just finished installing Windows 10 Home, and while the installation process itself went off without a hitch, I’ve hit a major snag—I have absolutely no internet access. To make matters worse, that little Wi-Fi icon is completely missing from the taskbar at the bottom of my screen.
Does anyone here happen to know how I might be able to troubleshoot this?
It really baffles me, honestly—I’ve performed clean installs of Windows 10 more than ten times over the years, and in every single instance, that icon would simply appear right where it belongs once the setup was complete.

You probably just need to grab the Wi-Fi driver...

Don't worry about it—I've actually gone through the process of installing Windows 10 on this exact machine at least three times over the last four years, and every single time, that icon just popped up automatically right after the installation finished.

start - settings - network and internet - network reset - reset now - yes - restart

If that doesn't fix it, you're basically out of options, man.

Those instructions aren't helping me one bit—I just finished a completely fresh installation of Windows 10, and yet, here I am facing the exact same issue again.
I'm seeing this listed in my Device Manager, so if anyone happens to know what might be causing this headache, please let me know.

Drivers? Give me a break...

Yeah, you're missing the drivers. Either plug in an Ethernet cable so Windows can grab the updates—that might kickstart the Wi-Fi detection—or just download the driver on another computer and move it over via a USB drive.

I have to say, this situation is driving me absolutely mad—and I am talking about a laptop here "HP notebook 15 - rb031nm" serial number: CND94714W1
So, here is the deal: I am sitting at my other computer right now, trying to hunt down some drivers on the official support site, but it is being completely useless. It just keeps spinning and searching, over and over again, without actually finding a single thing

Look, just plug in an Ethernet cable. Hook it up directly to your router and run the Windows updates. Once that's done, your Wi-Fi should start behaving itself.

I dug it up for you right away.

Just pick the version for Windows 10 (64-bit) and hit submit. On the next page, click the plus sign next to "All drivers" to expand the list.

Well, I finally have the driver list showing up—I managed to get everything installed, and my internet connection is actually working at last!
The only thing bothering me now are those little yellow exclamation marks; I have no idea what they signify or if they’re going to cause any issues with my computer's performance.

It looks like you're looking at drivers for the PCI encryption/decryption controller, the SMBus controller, and probably some other stuff—most likely USB 3.0 or something along those lines.

Alright, but how does this actually impact performance? Are these drivers truly essential—I mean, really—or am I just overthinking things? Because, honestly, I haven't noticed a single hiccup or issue while using my laptop without them installed.
