Is it getting harder to tell who's actually real online?

I've been feeling increasingly uneasy about how easy it is to build a rapport with someone behind a screen lately. It feels like the "vibe check" is becoming a thing of the past because the digital personas we interact with are getting way too convincing. Do you guys think we're reaching a point where digital intuition just won't work anymore?
