I was reading some stats on regional health disparities the other day, and it really got me thinking about how much of a gamble your life can be based entirely on where you're born. It’s wild how much your physical well-being is tied to local infrastructure that might not even exist yet.

I grew up in a town where if you had a real emergency, you were looking at a forty-minute drive just to find a specialist. It puts you in this weird position of having to weigh the cost of a trip against the urgency of the problem. It feels like there's a massive gap between having "access" to something on paper and actually being able to walk into a clinic and get treated when you're hurting.

It seems like we talk a lot about healthcare as a universal right, but in practice, it feels like a luxury determined by local funding and geography. If you're in a place that's been overlooked for decades, how are you supposed to catch up?

Do you guys think we'll ever get to a point where your location doesn't dictate your life expectancy?
