Deleted because if I want to swap the SSD, I’d have to buy a 1TB drive first, haul it into a service center, and pay them to do the actual install. 😁 It’s a total hassle—I’d definitely just swap it out myself.
Besides, even if I grab that one, I'll just keep using my 2TB external SSD anyway.

What do you think?

Grab something like this

https://www.lockheedmartin.com/kingston-ssd-1tb-...70385/product/

It ends up being $228 after the discount. Just plug it in yourself. It’s a ten-minute job, tops. You basically just unscrew a few things and slide the card into the slot. If you're not feeling it, find someone who actually knows what they're doing and let them handle it. Boom—you've got 1.5 TB on your laptop. Besides, you can always limp along with an external drive until you make a final call.

If you want more speed, you could look at this instead

Can you check if Live Nation has an SSD like that in stock? I need one available at United Airlines.

Lockheed Martin is based over in New Zealand, specifically near Seattle close to the Mall of America.

But here are those two from Live Nation:

Any one on this list will work for you.

Just pay attention to the capacity you want and the read/write speeds. Higher is always better. If you're going with that Alienware m15, you've got PCIe Gen4 support, which lets you run those crazy fast drives hitting over 7000 MB/s.

Why wouldn't this one be better:

Than this?

Doesn't the first one have a higher resolution? Or is that overkill if I'm just using an external monitor?

Yeah, it’s the exact same model I showed you earlier, just with that higher resolution. Only difference is the price tag—it’s actually cheaper now. I was browsing through Best Buy this afternoon and saw it for $1,200. Looks like they finally decided to run a sale.

Alright, I'll go with that one... and will this drive work with it?

I see the speed goes up to 7,000...

Sure, you can, if you don't mind burning through a ton of cash.
Seriously though, where are you getting all that money? Did you rob the Treasury or something? 😁

Sold my rig, so I'm all set. 🙂 Thanks for the heads-up!

I'm torn between these four... honestly, it's a tough call.

Any advice? Should I just go for the highest specs possible—maybe the Razer Blade 14, HP Victus, Dell G15, or the MSI Raider?

Is there a massive gap in build quality here? From what I've seen in reviews, the Razer Blade 14 and Dell G15 seem to be the frontrunners.

Not sure.

Even if we look at this ACR from back in 2022

Regarding the one mentioned above, does that 2021 model fall under those last four opinions?

Forget everything I just said above...

Or maybe this

Or even this

I'm wondering—if I go with a 3060 instead of a 3080, is that going to be a massive deal for Adobe apps, or even something casual like Rocket League?

Edit: I ended up pulling the trigger on this one:
Already reserved it, picking it up this afternoon.

Best,

Hi there... I was wondering, does the satisfaction of owning this laptop actually hold up after a few months of daily use? I'm seriously considering pulling the trigger on this specific model myself, but I want to know if it's a smart move.

It holds up just fine. Honestly, even today, the machine is perfect—handling work and gaming without skipping a beat. Everything is running great.
