Is it just me, or is the suspense during this time of year actually physically painful? I love the sport, but the weeks leading up to the big deadline are always such a rollercoaster of emotions.
I remember a few years back, my buddy and I spent an entire week obsessing over every single whisper and "insider" tweet, thinking we knew exactly who was coming to the roster. We had our spreadsheets ready, our excitement was through the roof, and then... absolutely nothing happened. Just a total dud of a window. It felt like we'd wasted all that mental energy on a ghost.
It’s a weird psychological cycle. You spend half the time being optimistic that a massive move is coming to fix all the glaring holes, and the other half being cynical that the front office is just going to sit on their hands and do nothing. It’s a fine line between being a dedicated fan and just stressing yourself out for no reason.
Does anyone else find themselves getting sucked into the rumor mill, or do you guys just tune out the noise until the actual deals are official?
