Hey everyone,
My computer is split into two partitions. One holds a broken installation of macOS 7, while the other houses a fresh, genuine install of macOS 10. Since I set up the new OS yesterday without formatting the drive or touching my old files, I’m trying to figure out where my previous data went. Specifically, I need to locate what was sitting on my desktop and see if there is any way to recover my cookies from Mozilla and Chrome that I used back on the older version.
I have a lot of critical files left behind, so I would truly appreciate some guidance.
Cheers, and happy holidays to you all.

Grab everything—all the files and folders—from this directory and dump them into your new Firefox folder (just use the "copy" command).
c:\Users\"User"\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default

Basically, everything you had sitting on your Windows 7 desktop is right here... so just copy it over (just skip the shortcuts).
c:\Users\"User"\Desktop\

I don't really touch Chrome myself, but I know if you're logged in and using their sync feature, all that stuff is already waiting for you... you just have to sign in.

ps: That "User" part in the path? That's just your specific username on your PC... and hey, if you can't see the folders, you'll need to go into your file manager settings and enable "show hidden files and folders."
