I was looking at some sports gear online the other day and realized how much I hate when teams (or even brands) try to force a "new era" on us. It feels like every few years, there's this massive push to change everything—the colors, the logos, the whole vibe—and then everyone spends weeks arguing about whether it's "disrespectful to tradition" or "bold and fresh."
Personally, I think it's usually just a cash grab, but sometimes I actually find myself getting caught up in the tribalism of it. I’ll find myself defending a specific look just because I’ve been used to it for a decade, even if the new version is objectively cooler. It's funny how much power a simple change in aesthetic can have over a community's mood.
Is it just me, or is the "tradition vs. progress" argument getting a bit exhausted? Do you guys actually care when your favorite teams change their look, or do you just roll your eyes and move on?
