I was watching some highlights from earlier today and it got me thinking about how much we obsess over the specific order of things. In sports, everyone has a theory about who should lead off or where the heavy hitters should sit to maximize the momentum. It feels like if you just shuffle the deck, the whole energy of the game changes, even if the talent on the field stays exactly the same.
I've noticed this in my own life too, especially with how I tackle my work week. If I start with the hardest thing first, I'm wiped by noon. If I start with something easy, I feel like I'm procrastinating. It’s funny how much we try to engineer the "perfect" sequence to get the best result, but sometimes it feels like it's all just superstition.
Do you guys think a specific lineup setup actually changes the outcome of a game, or is it mostly just fans overanalyzing the math?
