I was watching some highlights from an international qualifying match last night, and man, it really hit me how much the "David vs. Goliath" narrative is dying in modern football. It used to be that a smaller club could catch a giant sleeping and pull off a miracle, but lately, the skill and resource gap feels like a canyon.

When you see one side completely dominating a match without breaking a sweat, it almost feels less like a sport and more like a mismatch of entire ecosystems. It’s tough to watch because you want to root for the underdog, but sometimes the sheer disparity in professional infrastructure just makes a competitive game impossible.

Do you think the current way European competitions are structured is killing the magic of the upset, or is it just the natural progression of the sport?
