A thread with so much potential, gone.

I put together a long post about April 10th—specifically regarding the legalization debate and those demonstrations meant for the marginalized parts of our society.
I asked the moderators not to be so jumpy and to avoid deleting threads, but it was no use...
It got wiped...
Is it okay if I ask who did that and what the reasoning was?
