I was just scrolling through USA Today and read this absolutely gut-wrenching statistic about how, in America, we see cases every single month where a woman is murdered by her husband simply because she decided to leave him... It really makes you wonder what goes on inside the mind of a man who chooses to solve his problems in such a violent, permanent way... Is it just the byproduct of a deeply ingrained patriarchal upbringing, or maybe a fundamental failure in how they were socialized to handle emotion? Or could it be a toxic cocktail of deep-seated fear, a total lack of self-esteem, some sort of underlying psychological disorder, or just pure, unadulterated malice... I don't even know where to start with it all...

I suppose it’s a bit of everything, really. If you take those factors and layer on top of them a rather unfortunate childhood—much like the kind of upbringing one might find in a gritty Dickensian novel or even some of the darker stories out of Chicago—and then mix in an environment where everyone simply chooses to look the other way, you end up with the perfect recipe for a female assassin. 👎

Honestly, if every single person who had a bad upbringing turned into a killer, there wouldn't be anyone left on this planet.

They’ve been drilling this idea into people for centuries—that women are basically just property. And they refuse to let go of that mindset for anything.
I mean, seriously, who else are they going to flex their power on?

It’s all just a massive power trip...

The sad part? A lot of women actually lean into this whole "ownership" thing. By the time they finally wake up to it, it's usually way too late.

If we assume there’s one case per month, then I guess you could look at it like this:
The average lifespan for a woman is about 74 years—men probably hover around 72, I think.
If one man kills a woman every single month for these reasons, that’s 12 a year. So, 12 times 72... that works out to roughly 900 of them over the course of an entire male lifetime.

Now, if the US population is around 330 million, let's say there are 165 million men. Out of all those guys, maybe 1,000 will actually end up killing a woman.
That means less than 0.5 percent of them would ever do something like that...
Honestly, I feel like the conversation should really be more about the state of journalism here in America, because statistically speaking, we're talking about a tiny, tiny group...

But, I mean, yeah, there is definitely more "everyday" abuse happening in our country...

Man, if we just reduce everything down to cold hard statistics, I guess it’s no wonder only a handful of people actually care... globally speaking, more women perish in plane crashes, right?

And when you think about what this does to kids... I mean, will these children suffer lasting trauma because their father murdered their mother, and then some poor soul grows up to become a killer of his own wife later on?

And yeah, sure, people love to claim women are to blame for getting involved with guys like that in the first place. But don't they deserve a second chance? Once they've finally made the choice to walk away from an abuser, what kind of twisted force is driving his mind to make sure he never lets that happen again? Why is everyone so eager to find excuses for him... while turning around and telling her it was all her fault?

Even this guy's old man was a killer... he had a son to pass things down to, but since things weren't going his way, he ended up taking himself out too... so hey, at least the father's legacy stays perfectly intact, right? Smh...😠

A 0.08 BAC is a 0.08 BAC... I don't care what anyone thinks about it... honestly, I think there are just more people out there dealing with schizophrenia...
And what exactly drives them to act like that?
It’s probably better to just look at the general anatomy of human aggression. If you actually study all the different ways people lash out, you might realize there are countless forms of aggression. You have to look at them all together... though, I guess the real question is how that specific negative energy eventually manifests itself...

It always hits the weak link, right? Wouldn't make sense to target the strong one...

I honestly can't fathom how anyone manages to endure that on a daily basis; it's just frankly terrible, for the most part.

Why does nobody seem to want to talk about this? It feels like we just ignore the data whenever it gets uncomfortable.

Not really. 😉

Here’s that text I was talking about:

I just read this piece in USA Today about how much everyone is obsessing over those damn "wellness" trends lately, and honestly? It’s driving me absolutely insane. It feels like you can’t even drink a cup of coffee without some self-proclaimed guru telling you that you’re doing life wrong. The article talks about how people are spending fortunes on these ridiculous dietary fads and "mindfulness" retreats that cost more than my first car. It's all just a giant money grab. I remember back in college, I tried one of those juice cleanses because some influencer told me it would "reset my system." Big mistake. Huge. I spent three days staring at the ceiling feeling like I was dying while my roommates ate pizza right in front of me. Total waste of cash. And don't even get me started on the social media aspect of it. Everyone is out there posing with their green smoothies like they actually enjoy the taste. They don't! They’re just performing for likes. It’s performative nonsense. We used to just live our lives, and now we have to curate a "lifestyle" just to feel validated by strangers online. It’s exhausting, it's fake, and frankly, it's a scam designed to make us feel inadequate so we keep buying more junk. Get a grip, people.

There are just so many decent, honest guys out there living single lives—it’s wild—while women seem to flock to absolute jerks like flies to trash... I guess life is never boring when you're tied to a narcissist, right?

There’s definitely some truth to that... I’ve honestly never come across a "class bully" type who actually attracts women—and I don't just mean fourteen-year-old girls.

I know someone who was actually with a war criminal... and look, the guy was a decent soul—at least, that’s what everyone said. All those accusations against him? Total lies. That is, until he started abusing her and their two kids. Only then did the lightbulb finally go off in her head. But hey, people had food during the war... if she'd just taken the hush money, she would've been living on bread and water, but at least she wouldn't have ended up with a bruise on her eye or a wire around her neck.

So, that’s exactly why I’m asking... why is she being broken down like that, while he just gets a pass?

Why on earth are we categorizing violence based on gender?

Nobody is categorizing it that way. And for the record, people talk about sex versus gender, not "sexuality."
It’s two completely different things.

Because in 90 percent of cases, men are the aggressors, not women.

By the way, did anyone catch USA Today yesterday? They had a segment on domestic homicides. 😲 It was about some woman who murdered her husband after only three months of marriage. 😱 Some Hollywood director could easily sweep the Oscars if they turned that story into a movie.

Women aren't physically violent—they just can't be 😁 mostly because they lack the raw physical strength... generally speaking

but they’ll drain you dry 😁😁😁 and drive you straight to an early grave if they feel like it 😁😁😁

so, honestly, you really ought to treat them right 🙂

Men are mostly just psychologically abusive, I guess... nothing more than that most of the time.
Women are mostly just psychologically abusive, I guess... nothing more than that most of the time.

It’s been established for a long time now that violent people are pretty much evenly distributed between men and women...

Yeah, I watched that CNN report...
Man...
I think maybe CNN just latched onto one extreme example that isn't really representative of what actually happens out there.
