Is that even possible? And if so, what do you actually do with it once you have it?

I'm being dead serious here.

It’s become this rather common, albeit troubling, practice where parents end up dosing their little ones with something before daycare just so the caregivers don't notice they're acting a bit off—only to have the poor kid get dropped off and then fall completely ill halfway through the day.😉
Is this all because some massive acetaminophen smuggling ring has finally been busted?🙄

What, you looking for a secret formula? For personal use or starting a side hustle? 😁

Look, we might be misusing the word "abuse" here. Misusing acetaminophen just means taking more than the recommended dose, which can end up wrecking your liver.

I’m not looking for some magic formula here. I just want to know if people actually lose their minds when they start mixing pills with other stuff—this scheme even involves using Codeine. How does that work? And we're talking teenagers, not toddlers. Please, don't give me any of those brain-dead responses from the idiots in the comments.

We aren't talking about toddlers in a daycare; we're discussing teenagers. Please, I am begging you, let's try to avoid having people with the intellectual capacity of a goldfish chiming in with their nonsense.

Absolutely not!

The answer to your first question is a hard NO, but for this slightly more detailed one... yeah, it's a YES!

Lately, dealers have started doing this thing where they "cut" heroin with stuff like Tylenol. As you guys probably already know, those street-level dealers make their real money by mixing heroin with all sorts of random powders—anything that looks enough like the real deal to stretch their supply and pad their pockets. In a city like Chicago, the average user might be dealing with heroin that’s only about 50% pure. (I heard that in New York City it’s closer to 30%, and then recently, after those overdose clusters hit the West Coast, there was some talk of 70% pure stuff popping up)

They use Tylenol for this because it has that fine, powdery texture and a melting point pretty close to heroin... which makes it way harder to tell how much filler you're actually smoking versus the actual drug.

Yeah, I caught this segment on the news the other day about some drug bust, and they were mentioning how they found paracetamol mixed into the stash.

Drug dealers pushing paracetamol? I haven't heard of that one, but hey, in this world, anything can happen.😁

Look, you really have to be careful with paracetamol. Just last week, I was treating this patient who—let's just say she was "trying to end it all"—and she popped about 50 pills. She’s an older woman, in her 70s, and she ended up with fulminant hepatitis. Or, if you want the medical jargon, fulminant liver failure with grade 2 hepatic encephalopathy and brain edema. For the non-medics out there... basically, it's a horrific disease with a massive mortality rate. She survived, though. But honestly, she’s one of those borderline patients where this isn't even the first time she's tried to check out early. That's why I put "trying to end it all" in quotes. Because, let's be real, if someone actually wants to die, they don't call their local hospital to report they swallowed a handful of pills.🙄 These kinds of borderline patients are hands down my worst kind of case.🙄 I can't stand them.

Anyway, the point is, paracetamol is notorious for its hepatotoxicity—obviously when you overdose. You shouldn't be going over 2000-3000 mg a day.

Yeah, I was actually just about to post the exact same thing as what the previous guy said...

Suicide attempts involving Tylenol are incredibly "successful" in all the worst ways possible, and they’re just messy. Honestly, I’m surprised that woman even made it out alive; you guys probably managed to pump her stomach or something just in time...
In my experience, anyone who swallows that much stuff ends up completely losing their mind... Honestly, whenever I see some idiot try to take their own life and then fail, I feel like telling them they should have just picked up a gun instead... maybe I should suggest swallowing a whole bottle of Tylenol too, just to make it a complete mess...

I remember an old American translation of a Michael Crichton book. There was this thing mentioned called "patoka." It involved pouring a heavy alcoholic spirit over some Aspirin placed on a piece of gauze. I haven't seen anything like that since, nor have I ever heard of it being a real thing.

I'm being serious.

Isn't this just another scheme, similar to when kids used to sniff Kraft Heinz? Most over-the-counter stuff like acetaminophen or aspirin won't touch your psyche. The real danger lies in cough suppressants containing Codeine or stronger substances, though you'll need a prescription for those.

stormylynx14 said:(basically everything you find in those standard over-the-counter pain relievers) doesn't really mess with your head at all. It's more like those cough suppressants containing Codeine, or maybe even heavier stuff, that actually pose a risk—but then again, you need a prescription for all that stuff anyway.

And honestly, some of those "harmless" little painkillers you can just grab off the shelf at CVS for a couple of bucks? Yeah, they've got Codeine in them too.

Oh great, why stop there? Just drop the full recipe for extracting Codeine from those pills right here... save the kids the trouble of having to hunt through Google and deal with all those annoying translations...

Why limit this to just kids? There are plenty of us adults who could use it too!

Look, if you can find a manual online on 'how to synthesize LSD' 😁, I don't see why people are acting shocked about anything else being out there. 😬 If they really want to find something specific, they can just use a search engine like everyone else.
