Is there actually a cure?
I’ve been digging through every corner of the internet—forums, news sites, you name it—trying to find an answer to this. And honestly? Everyone seems to say the same thing: it’s a chronic condition, which is basically medical shorthand for "you're stuck with this forever."
But then again, diabetes is chronic. Rheumatoid arthritis is chronic. People deal with those every single day—and sometimes they even live better lives than people who are technically "healthy" (though, let's be real, who is actually 100% healthy these days?)
In my head, I think a chronic condition can actually be overcome if someone just completely flips their lifestyle on its head. Like, if you turn your back on everything that drains you or gets under your skin, stop making compromises, and just start living on your own terms... maybe things change.
Maybe I’m just talking nonsense here, but I truly believe addiction is a chronic condition that *can* be cured. You just have to get far away from your old life and the people who trigger those bad impulses—and yeah, that might even include your own parents if they happen to be part of the problem.
Just thought this might help a little, it's a decent concept http://www.refindyourway.com/lang/sr...voj-razum.html
