Alienware vs. Razer Blade?

Hey,
Need some buying advice.
Mostly just browsing, movies, a tiny bit of AutoCAD, and the occasional game.
Someone recommended these two.
They actually said an i5 is better than an i7 since the i7 just runs hotter without much extra performance.
What's a fair price range here?
I see this Legion with an i5 sitting somewhere between $2000 and $3000.
Let me hear your thoughts and advice.

So, I’ve been messing around with my Alienware for about two months now, and honestly, if you're just some casual user who isn't trying to push the limits of physics every single day, it's doing alright enough for me.

What are you even doing on it?

I mostly just use it for browsing the web, checking my emails, and occasionally catching some commercials or blasting music while I surf... honestly, I only picked it up because it had that backlit keyboard, a nice big 17-inch screen, and let's face it, it looks pretty sleek and sharp.
