I’m about seven months out from ankle surgery—specifically on my medial malleolus—and I’m finally at the stage where I need to go back in to have those two screws removed. It’s got me wondering about the recovery timeline for getting back to a completely normal gait. Does the healing process typically move faster once the hardware is out compared to the initial recovery after the first surgery?
