The new action flick from Luc Besson. Beautiful Anna Poliatov plays a government hitman. A hitwoman, to be precise. 😁 That’s pretty much all we know about the plot. If you can't figure it out from her name, the poster features scattered Matryoshka dolls, which implies Anna is Russian.

Sasha Luss takes the leadβ€”you might remember her as Princess Liho Minna from Besson's previous film, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. Based on the trailer, she’s clearly put in the work; her shooting skills look solid, and she handles combat like John Wick in his prime.

Luc Besson can still pull off surprises, but lately, he's been recycling his old hits way too much. Stylistically, this feels a lot like Nikita or Leon, though it leans closest to Lucy. Let's just hope this one turns out better than his recent stuff.

It's decent, I suppose 😁😍😍
. Maybe it might be worth watching, even if it turns out to be bad 😁😁

Pretty solid flick... interesting story, decent action, a few plot twists, and a hot lead actress.. I'd probably give it a 7/10

I don't know, I guess I was expecting way more, though I can't even tell you why. To be honest, it isn't terrible, but there are just so many movies out there that feel exactly like this. Even the fight scenes? Nothing special about them. It felt way too choppy with all the quick cuts; I really wish they had gone for those longer, continuous shots like they did in John Wickβ€”you know, where you can actually see the action happening...
...and the plot felt almost like a total rip-off of Red Sparrow.
Cillian Murphy is someone I just can't stand, yet at the same time, he’s an absolutely incredible actor. Sasha Luss is gorgeous, tooβ€”never heard of her before, but after a quick Google search, turns out she’s actually a pretty big-deal model.
Overall impression is a 5/10.

I find Cillian Murphy to be quite unappealing, yet he is an excellent actor at the same time. Sasha Luss is attractive; I had never heard of her before, but after searching online, it seems she is actually a fairly well-known model.
Overall impression is 5/10.

If it's just a copy of Red Sparrow, then I definitely won't watch it... Red Sparrow is such a terrible movie that it's practically a warning sign.πŸ™‚

I just finished watching the movie.
It’s honestly not even a remake; it feels more like a cut & paste version of the La Femme Nikita series.
Anna is hard to compare to the lead in the original Nikita since I haven't actually seen that film yetβ€”though I have seen the show.

Here’s how much it mirrors the series:

There's that restaurant scene where she has a five-minute window to take someone out, and that intense sprint toward the target with her gun drawn. It starts with her living in poverty before > shows up to offer her a way out. Her roommate is there too, Anna is a blonde, and eventually, she ends up getting involved with >.

The action sequences are top-notch. The movie relies heavily on those "five years ago" or "three months ago" flashbacks to move the plot along.

Yeah, look, I mean *Nikita* definitely feels like a rip-off, but honestly? The connection to *Red Sparrow* is where it gets interesting. It’s like both sides are just playing games, pulling everyone's strings just so they can grab a little bit of freedom for themselves...

Seeing that trailer immediately brought Nikita to mind, which is exactly why I’m planning to give it a watch. Ruskinja is absolutely stunning 😍

Thanks, man. If you're telling me that Red Sparrow is a dud, I'll go ahead and pull it off my watchlist right now.πŸ‘

I saw what Ančica posted in the preview... Good grief. Honestly, I feel like I’ve seen this exact same thing play out a hundred times before.πŸ₯±

I suppose judolino is just... I don't know. It seems rather simple, maybe? says:
Thanks for the advice. If you say Red Bull is bad, I guess I'll just delete it right away.πŸ‘

I guess I saw what Nancy posted on the front page... Good grief... I feel like I've seen this a hundred times already.πŸ₯±

Haha, take a look at that and let me know what you think.🀦
