And how exactly do you plan on walking into a lab and just saying, "Yeah, I’d like some blood drawn"? How does that even work? For which specific tests? Go see a private doctor or switch providers, because you can't just walk in and get bloodwork done without a referral from a physician. There are literally millions of different blood panels out there... Just my two cents.

I can't ask my regular doctor for a referral for bloodwork because of some personal stuff I'm dealing with. At my local clinic, they actually have a full list of all the lab tests they offer posted right on the wall along with the prices. It makes it super easy if you just want to pay out of pocket for whatever you need...

I'm pretty sure private OB-GYNs don't issue insurance referrals, though...
