Dear members,

I have a question regarding what I’ve noted in the title: does a space like this actually exist elsewhere? Over the last few weeks, I’ve been monitoring the activity levels in the subforums I frequent, and my conclusion is pretty grim—every single one that interests me is essentially a ghost town. There is zero life, zero conversation, and absolutely nothing being posted. Other sections seem fine, but they just aren't my speed; frankly, a massive portion of the people here lack any real creative spark (no offense intended to those who believe otherwise).

Is there an online community specifically for creatives where we can actually exchange experiences, perspectives, ideas, and original work? To be clear, I am not looking for mere image galleries or portfolio sites like Behance, Flickr, or DeviantArt.

To be blunt, I don't see much point in engaging in discussions here. The demographic participating on this forum simply isn't the type of crowd I relate to. Every time I log on, I walk away feeling frustrated because I find myself trying to force myself into a social mold that doesn't fit me at all. It becomes exhausting to constantly attempt to adapt to a culture that offers me nothing of interest. Thanks.

So creative, yet you can't even bother to do a quick Google search for a forum like this...

🤦
Making assumptions is the root of all mistakes. That is exactly why I searched for it myself first before starting this thread. Next time, maybe ask before getting worked up. Then again, everyone here already knows you're just an internet troll, so I really wasn't expecting anything intelligent from you anyway. ☕

Creativity in what sense, exactly? For instance?

Check out that PDF above regarding the pandemic and the current discussion topics. Jump in so we can see if you actually know how to type 🥳

Current topics:

People around us

First Love

Reflections on Prompts - for this one, you should probably dig through some old prompts, pick one, and tackle it your own way 🥳

If I remember right, there’s some kind of literary corner in the literature PDF or something like that 🐔

Assuming it's a mistake is a massive fail. I literally searched everywhere and found nothing before making this thread. Next time, maybe check before acting out. Besides, everyone here already knows you're just a forum troll, so I wasn't expecting anything intelligent from you anyway. ☕

Jane Doe, my bad. Pig is actually a legend at typing! One of the most creative guys on this forum. There are even whole sections in the Men's Corner where the guys get pretty creative commenting on photography. 🍿

Making assumptions is basically the root of all bad vibes. That’s exactly why I didn't find anything myself before starting this thread. Maybe try checking first next time before getting all worked up. Honestly, everyone here already knows you're just a forum troll, so I wasn't expecting anything brilliant from you anyway. ☕

To me, being creative means finding fresh ideas or solutions within your field of interest—approaching things with a genuine question without having a hidden agenda. From what I can gather from your posts, it seems like you just dropped a question into a void because you assume there aren't enough smart people like yourself here to answer it. You claim photography and art don't interest you, yet you want an answer to your question without actually wanting to engage in a real discussion about it.

To be honest, I have no idea what you mean by me "getting worked up" in my post. Maybe it was a bit sarcastic, sure, but that's hardly a meltdown. Plus, you've slapped a "troll" label on me without ever even trying to have a serious conversation with me about any actual topic or opinion.

I also don't think the off-topic section is the right place for a question like this. If you scrolled through even a little bit, you'd see the kind of stuff people actually talk about here. Personally, I tailor my writing style to the subject matter, the question, and how I perceive the situation. Whether it's a joke or something dead serious, I adjust accordingly.

You posted something pretty negative, and since you knew full well it would draw criticism, why are you running away from it now? I'll give you this: I agree that sometimes there really isn't much quality content to read on this forum, and there's nothing wrong with saying that. But threads can be started, revived, and sparked. Coming in here and saying "I'm not interested" or "I don't care" is fine, but if that's your attitude, then you're just wasting your own time and ours.

And look, I couldn't exactly recommend a specific community or a place to swap creative ideas because I have no clue what your interests are. I could list a thousand different things and still be guessing until tomorrow whether you're into tech, design, or something else. For example, on the LEGO website, you can present your designs, which go through a voting process; if you get enough traction, your creation could actually become a real toy that you might buy for a kid at Target or even for your own family. But then again, you'd probably just tell me that doesn't interest you either, and I could be guessing like that until the year 3020.

The concept of "creativity" is as vast as the Pacific Ocean, so you need to be more specific about what you're looking for. Anything you're curious about can be found with a proper Google search, or maybe even a deep dive on Reddit. You know best what you're after, but I highly doubt you won't find something useful in a YouTube video or somewhere else on the web.

So, based on everything I've said, I don't know how you expect me to call you a "creative"—especially after you responded to my somewhat sarcastic post like this.
