So, apparently some crew bought up the rights to all those old 70s kung fu flicks and retooled them specifically for TV. The whole gimmick is that the movies have been dubbed dubtitled by guys straight out of the inner city. It means these classic 70s martial arts heroes are suddenly speaking heavy Bronx English 😁. I remember catching an episode on Showtime one night... honestly, it took me a second to even process what I was watching. Just pure madness.

Picture this scene... you've got some guy in a hippie haircut, dressed like he stepped right out of 1974, looking at another guy poised in a perfect kung fu stance and saying— Hey yo muthafucker... wanna get some big time ass whoppin' 😁

Only people from this part of the world would think to make a movie about Appalachia... if there was anyone capable of actually making that kind of setting work for a Western audience, it would have been Sergio Leone back in the sixties, but that never happened 😁

If I recall correctly, the last "comic book show" featured the Turkish version of Commander Mark.

You aren't wrong. It was actually a blast. They followed it up with an Alan Ford strip, though that was pretty much garbage...
