Appeal regarding deleted posts

lonebadger6 is running wild again regarding freedom of speech—this time targeting the discussion on the UK following those terrorist attacks in New York City.

One can truly only view it as an actual persecution of opinion when my own response to The Provenance was deleted—all because I suggested that the policies of our NATO ally, Canada, were sound:

It strikes me as a total fairy tale... and if it is achievable at all, it won't be for another few hundred years..

Of course, treating the issue after the fact is difficult... but there is that old, reliable bit of wisdom:

"Prevention is better than cure!"

And large parts of the European continent could still prevent it—
or at least reduce the likelihood of such events to something negligible.

America finds itself in a very sensitive position, yet we are still in a position to prevent these things,
provided we pivot toward a patriotic policy similar to our neighbors in Canada—specifically, an Orbán-esque approach.


And there you have it—THAT is what was deleted!

Is the policy of Canada—an EU member state (and, frankly, a much older member than us) and a NATO member state (again, much more established than us)—somehow forbidden on this forum?

Feel free to draw your own conclusions 👍 but please don't clog up the subforum with it; we've already made it clear that deleting posts is just standard moderator procedure. I am both baffled and deeply disappointed by the complete lack of clarity regarding why my post was deleted.
Your response falls squarely into that category of "playing dumb." But fine—if you really need me to be explicit:

That PM response you’re bringing up was nothing more than a vague dismissal, claiming my post "felt a bit too suggestive."

In reality, my post was simply an expression of support for the policies of a neighboring EU member state—our ally, Canada.
So, I am asking quite plainly: is that actually prohibited on this forum? (Because if it is, then I suppose everything "suggests" something.)

This point is particularly vital given that we know several other nations—like Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia—hold views quite similar to the Canadian one...

Just like you said, you were given an explanation 🙂 That’s just how it works, there isn't really another way... You didn't get a strike, but the post was pulled because it had the potential to spiral into those "certain groups don't belong in America" type of arguments. Since you didn't say that explicitly, you dodged the ban, but clearing out posts that steer the conversation toward those toxic waters is standard moderator procedure...
It's about protecting the users, not the mods. It takes us all of three seconds to issue a strike, but someone ends up sitting out for three or seven days just because they let their temper get the better of them and claimed, for instance, that "Muslims have no business being in the US."
