Attention all moderators

First off, a huge shoutout to all the moderators—not trying to suck up here, but I don't think most people realize how much work goes into volunteering and moderating. Best of luck to you all 🙂
I’ve been a member of this forum since 2003. It’s easily one of my favorite corners of the internet. I know I’m not the perfect poster, but I do my best.
That said, I’m running into an issue with my signature, which—by the way—I’ve had for about five years now.
About two or three years ago, the rules regarding signatures were updated. That was the first time my signature was removed, and after a discussion with the moderators and supermoderators (I think Anderson was involved too, but I can't be bothered to dig up the links since I already brought this up with a mod who helped me restore it recently), they accepted my arguments and reinstated it.
At this point, it's really just a matter of principle for me. A supermoderator gave it back to me then.

Everything was fine until a week ago, when a moderator removed my signature again. I sent them a PM explaining what was actually in the signature (to prove it doesn't break any rules), explained the history, and provided links to our old discussion from two years ago. Thankfully, they apologized and put it back.

Today, however, I received a 50-point infraction because I "re-added" (for God knows how many times now) a deleted signature.
The thing is, I didn't re-add it—the moderator who deleted it did.
So, I’m asking that this confusion be cleared up, because things are getting a bit awkward. Honestly, I have other things to do; I'd much rather spend my time actually posting on the forum than arguing about this for the third time. I'm not advertising anything, nor am I linking to other forums or blogs.
I’m just asking for a little better coordination on your end, and we'll call it even.

I would have been that moderator who went ahead and deleted your signature beforehand. You sent me this and this link via private message (noting that I should read the final post first). Consequently, the administrators gave it the green light, and your signature has been restored along with an apology.

Off the record, I feel like my only option is to suck up to one of the female moderators—I heard from someone that certain people (like the executioner; he told me himself, straight to my face) only managed to secure their rights and perks that way 🙄 😁

Just because a link has been sitting there for two and a half years doesn't mean you have an unconditional, eternal right to keep it. That page is selling books, and the official word from the moderator (which the admin has backed up) is that a link like cannot be part of your signature.

The argument that you shouldn't be penalized since you thought you were allowed to have the link doesn't really hold water, but now that the rule is crystal clear, don't try to bring that signature back, because it will definitely trigger another sanction. 🙂
