Who thought this was a good idea?

Why on earth would you dump 40 PAGES of a trending news story—something that’s been all over CNN and every major outlet—into a massive, generic 120-PAGE thread about police conduct over on the Law subforum?

Seriously, what's the goal here? Why do we have this stupid habit of stuffing everything into these monstrously huge threads where nobody can actually find anything anymore?

Can someone please explain the logic?

Standard forum etiquette is pretty simple: when a topic actually matters, you pull it out into its own thread instead of just burying it in some massive general discussion. That's how it works.
