...I just refreshed the page right as this super interesting ad popped up in my peripheral vision. It was something about GEN... I'm guessing it’s related to those food intolerance tests

How do I get rid of these ads that take up half the page on Reddit?
They’re such a massive distraction and honestly, they make me want to scream. I can't deal with this much junk being shoved right in my face. Any way to clear out all this crap?

You could go with Adblock Plus or Adblock Edge. If you’re feeling a bit more tech-savvy and want something beefier—depending on which browser you're running, of course—you might want to look into NoScript or ScriptSafe to really level up your setup.

But honestly, the answer is pretty straightforward; we’re talking about private property here.
The owner can do whatever they see fit... And their main goal is to turn a profit... As for us?
