So, if I recall correctly, some users on that sub-forum threw a massive fit not too long ago just because one of their friends got banned. Apparently, she’s supposedly exempt from the local rules while everyone else has to play by them 🤷. Because, you know, she’s *that* special. Following that little meltdown, all the specific sub-forum rules were scrapped, leaving nothing but the general site guidelines. Though, honestly, I suspect that wasn't even the real reason; it felt more like the moderators simply lost the will—or perhaps the patience—to actually manage the place.

As far as I can tell (and please, feel free to set me straight if my memory is failing me), that decision also wiped out the rule about only reposting an ad once a week. So... I’ve been taking full advantage of that loophole, posting the same listing over and over until it finally sells, sometimes even every single day. And what about the rule against commenting on ads within that thread? I believe that was tossed out too. Since it isn't strictly part of the thread's core purpose, it falls under the general rules, which basically means it's fair game for trolling. Yet, this constant trolling never seems to get any pushback from the mods. Why? Well, I think I know why, but I’d love for someone to actually explain it here for the sake of the other frequent posters—not for my benefit, obviously, since I don't bother reading the moderators' explanations; they're usually just mindless ramblings that I have zero respect for.

Does anyone else find my constant reposting to be rude, or does it really matter as long as I'm following the rules? If there's no prohibition against it, I’ll happily repost my stuff a hundred times, if only to get under the skin of those "big shots" on the Beauty forum who practically forced my hand by being so difficult. 🙂

As for the moderators... if they aren't going to monitor the posts, they might as well just shut down the entire sub-forum. It's as if it wasn't enough that they used to turn a blind eye to people selling knockoff designer goods; now they're letting just any kind of comment slip through. Honestly, it feels like we should all just face a partial permanent ban from the forum, except for that elite circle of semi-literate, pretentious women.

And let's be real, we all know exactly how useless permanent bans actually are, so there's no point in even discussing it.

Then there's me, stepping in and moving everything in a matter of days, sometimes even instantly. It’s a bit funny, really; ladies, perhaps you should reconsider bragging about how expensive and high-end your skincare collection is when you're actually trying to offload it. When you set prices so absurdly high that any sensible woman would rather just head to Target or order something new online, you're essentially making sure no one buys your potentially contaminated products. Whether it’s here or on other sites, it seems like your items aren't going anywhere, yet somehow you manage to be everywhere at once.

Honestly, this thread isn't any more off-topic or filled with trolls than any other discussion on this site. People aren't just being jerks for the sake of it; they're reacting to the fact that you're spamming the exact same advertisement every single day—sometimes even multiple times a day. It’s grating. I don't consider their comments to be some massive violation of the rules. We're keeping an eye on the thread, but we aren't going to micro-manage it like we used to, just like we don't micromanage any other topic here.

And just to be clear, all the standard forum rules still apply to this thread, obviously. We just aren't enforcing those extra, specific set of rules anymore. I'm pretty sure you're already aware of that, 🙂.

Look, if an advertisement keeps popping up like a recurring headache, you’re going to get an equal amount of irritating commentary in response. There isn't much anyone can do about it; even the moderators can't be expected to chase down every single disgruntled user. A more sensible approach would have been to limit these ads to once a week to maintain some semblance of order, but ultimately, I find myself standing behind the moderator's decision here.
