I'm a student and I need my test results ASAP. Got two questions:

My doctor down in San Diego already gave me a referral to get this done here, but someone told me off the record that it won't count under the new rules in Washington, D.C. Apparently, I need a new one from the campus clinic instead. Is that actually true?

Also, where’s the fastest place to get bloodwork done and get the results back? Like, what's the typical wait time at a student health center near Times Square?

Thanks 🙂

If you go down to Times Square to get some blood work done in the morning, you’ll usually have your results back by the afternoon or even by the next morning, I guess... it really just depends on what kind of test they're running and which shift your doctor happens to be working

Will this referral from San Diego actually work here?

If you go to the clinic on 5th Avenue, New York, near the botanical gardens, you can pick up your results as early as 3:00 PM the same morning 👍. The staff there is wonderful, and the blood draw is so seamless you won't even notice it happened

Uh, thanks 😁. But does my referral from San Diego actually work there? 😁

I am not entirely certain, but here is what I know:
Address: 5th Avenue, New York
City/Location: 10000/Washington, D.C./
Telephone: 01 45 77 201
Fax: 01 45 77 208
Give them a call; the gentleman who answers the phone is quite helpful and will explain everything to you.

Nah, the lady told me it’s a no-go. Apparently, I’m not "on the books" or whatever. She said my doctor would have to fax over a referral first. Told me to just try hitting up the IRS office on Broadway. 😕

I’m gonna head over to Broadway in the morning to see what I can do about this referral. 🙂 Thanks!

It's ridiculous; I go there every single month for blood work, yet somehow I don't count as one of their patients 😲 well, anything can happen 🙏
