BODY CLEANSING

( DETOXING)

No—and I don't mean showering, washing your face, or brushing your teeth... (thank God we actually manage to do those things daily).

I’m talking about cleaning and "showering" the body from the inside out. To explain—let's use our cars as an analogy again. You’ll all agree with me that just soaping up the exterior and polishing the paint isn't enough, nor is it enough to just clean the upholstery and the floor mats. Sure, the car will shine and look brand new... but only while it's sitting in your driveway or parked in the garage. If you aren't regularly checking your oil, coolant, spark plugs, belts, air filters, or the quality of your fuel, we all know that car isn't going anywhere because it hasn't been cleaned where it counts.

It is exactly the same deal with our bodies... what is the point of scrubbing down and having fragrant skin if the blood feeding that skin is packed with everyday toxins we probably aren't even aware of?

If someone had told you twenty years ago that they were "going on a detox," everyone would have assumed the same thing—that they were getting sober or quitting smoking. Nowadays, you don't need to be using drugs, overdoing the booze, or chain-smoking to require a detox. TODAY, absolutely everyone should be doing this 2 or 3 times a year. Seriously—how, how, HOW!!!!!!!!

And why?

Because today we are breathing in smog, toxic fumes, and cigarette smoke; we're eating food that isn't always fresh, consuming massive amounts of sugar, hormones in our food supply, chemicals in both food and drinks, dyes, and preservatives; we drink alcohol and caffeine in our coffee and tea; plus, toxins come into contact with our skin via laundry detergents, perfumes, and deodorants, not to mention radiation and electromagnetic waves (TVs, cell phones, microwaves...), stress, a lack of physical activity (though, interestingly, overtraining can also lead to a buildup of lactic acid—which is itself a toxin), and insufficient sleep...

Our bodies fight all of this in their own way, but it’s really just a matter of time before those toxins start making themselves known. It might start as puffiness around the eyes, headaches, migraines, sinus issues, low energy, wrinkles, or cellulite, and then progress to poor circulation, joint and muscle pain, arthritis, constipation, allergies, cardiovascular issues, cramps, or diabetes...

(I know what you’re thinking right now... but let me just remind you that you don't have to be 60 years old to worry about a heart attack. Sadly, young people are dying from them now too.)

So, please, don't wait until you're experiencing symptoms of an actual illness before seeking help (unfortunately, that's how most people operate). Instead, MAINTAIN YOUR HEALTH and PREVENT DISEASE!

NOT TOMORROW, BUT TODAY

More ads popping up for those "miracle" treatments...
Is this someone new trying to sell something, or did MacGregor finally land himself a new gig? 🙂🙄

Personally, I’m sticking to white tea for my detox routine😍

Honey stirred into milk—honestly, you can’t beat it.😳

I usually take it in the evening,

and then first thing in the morning, I’ll have some nettle tea. The taste is admittedly a bit repulsive, but when it comes to results, it definitely gets the job done...

👍
Sometimes I just stir in a little honey to make it bearable.

I mean, I basically detox by letting mosquitoes suck all the toxins right out of my blood, since apparently I'm not allowed to donate blood anymore anyway 😢

🤣

honestly, I’m all about Clorox. For cleaning up the bathroom, obviously... though if we're talking stains, maybe stick to something like Tide or whatever...

What kind of Clorox? I just stick to plumber's gel. I pour some down the drains every now and then.

Regarding the bathroom, Lysol works perfectly fine, though lately I've been using one of those Clorox products. It comes in a white bottle with a spray nozzle on top.

As for the bathroom... Lysol is decent enough, I guess, but lately I’ve been using this one from Clorox—you know, the white bottle with the spray nozzle on top.

All those Clorox bottles are basically the same thing anyway—they only really differ by scent. Honestly, there’s a bit too much chlorine in there, but hey, I don't mind... it kind of gives me these weirdly nostalgic vibes of being a college student back in the day, working in those sketchy labs without any proper ventilation... seriously, who gave those professors their licenses? lol 😁

Lysol works fine, but I have this weird soft spot for Nature's Miracle blue (definitely gotta use the spray version!). I don't know... I get way too emotional about cleaning supplies. It's a problem.

I'm not sure what "plumber's gel" actually is, but I've heard those kinds of cleaners can eat right through your pipes. If that happens, you’re definitely gonna need a plumber and then some.👋

I’m basically detoxing with beer right now.
I mean, apparently it’s great for your kidneys, maybe even your heart too? It's loaded with B vitamins and all those minerals, plus it's got that brewer's yeast in it, which is supposedly good for your hair and nails...

And don't even get me started on what it does for, ummmmmmmmmm

I hear you. However, the label clearly states that if you follow the directions, the product is safe for all types of piping, including PVC.

Hmm, yeah... regarding those chemicals, I'm pretty sure we're talking about hypochlorite, and honestly, that stuff wreaks havoc on plumbing just like the chlorine you find in backyard swimming pools.😉

Honestly, nothing beats a shot of hot chromic sulfuric acid first thing in the morning. It’s a total miracle worker—cleanses your entire system right down to the bone 😁

Horseradish in milk—are we talking freshly grated horseradish boiled in milk, or...?

So, I heard about this 7-day detox thing. For the first three days, you aren't allowed to eat anything—just chug liquids. Apparently, after a bit, you start feeling like you're floating on clouds, though you might shake a little, and once that passes, you’re suddenly bursting with energy. On days four and five, you can move on to fruit, but there's a catch: if you have plums for breakfast, you stick to just plums. No mixing different fruits in one sitting. Then, on days six and seven, you can have milk or cereal, but again, no combos allowed. Just milk, just cereal, or just one type of fruit per meal. Anyway, that's my take on how you flush the toxins out of your system. People apparently do this once or twice a year.

Do that before bed

and then hit the nettle tea first thing in the morning... I know, the taste is pretty nasty, but man, it actually works...

I just grabbed some nettle tea bags at the local grocery store... is that stuff actually legit, or do I need to go grab the high-grade stuff from a pharmacy or something?
