I skip breakfast because my morning meal is basically just junk. Either I sleep in too late and feel like an idiot eating at 11 AM, or I’m rushing out the door and end up grabbing some toast and canned meat with a glass of milk—totally trash. Even when I do go the cereal route, it’s bad. I just bought a massive box of plain oats, but those are boring as hell on their own, so I end up buying honey rings, caramel rice, or granola mixes that are loaded with sugar. I tried making my own stuff with nuts, honey, and dried fruit once, but it was way too expensive since I'm a total cheapskate... I could only afford throwing in some Brazil nuts, dried papaya, and other random crap...

Yeah, I'm definitely a breakfast person. 😁
Most days it’s just muesli with some Greek yogurt—maybe once a week I'll go with warm milk, and if I'm feeling fancy, I'll toss in some honey. Usually, I'll wash it down with a latte, and sometimes grab a banana too.
I do have my moments where I'll just grab some Cocoa Puffs, but honestly? That stuff is way too weak to actually hold me over until lunch.
Other times, I'll indulge in a little pastry, like a poppy seed danish or a vanilla cream donut. 😁
And don't even get me started on toast. If it's whole wheat with some good plum or raspberry jam and a bit of margarine, I'm happy. I can't stand white bread, though. 😍

And can you actually make it to lunch on that? 😕 I never eat that stuff because I honestly can't stand it, which is why I'm asking—it doesn't look particularly filling to me..

I’ve zero appetite in the morning. Usually, I only eat breakfast if I absolutely have to. But then at night? Forget it. If I don't go to bed totally stuffed, I can't sleep. I'm just completely backwards like that..

I make sure to eat breakfast every single day. I’ll even wake up earlier if that’s what it takes to have time for a good meal and a cup of coffee.

Sometimes, if I haven't stayed up way too late and actually have a moment to myself,
I try to get this done as often as possible, but it’s not always easy to make it happen 😁

Lately, I’ve been leaning more toward fruit or maybe some multigrain toast with honey spread on it 👍
I honestly think a sweet breakfast beats a savory one any day 👍
The problem is, I usually can't stomach much in the morning, so by the time an hour or two before lunch rolls around, I'm absolutely starving. 😁

I really wish I could just train my body to handle a solid breakfast and then basically eat nothing for the rest of the day; I truly believe that would be the healthiest way to go 🙂

I try to make it a habit, but it doesn't always 😁

Lately, I've been leaning toward fruit or maybe some seeded bread with honey 👍
Sweet breakfasts just seem better than savory ones, I guess 👍
The problem is, I often can't eat much in the morning, so I end up starving an hour or two before lunch. 😁

I’d love to train my body to handle a solid breakfast and then just eat minimally for the rest of the day. I think that's probably the healthiest way to go. 🙂

Wait, why exactly is eating almost nothing for the rest of the day considered healthy?😕

So, I’m just sitting here having breakfast... some cookies and a white coffee. Honestly, most days I go for something sweet because if I'm gonna eat sugar, I might as well do it first thing in the morning—hopefully it all burns off by dinner time! 🙄 On Sundays, though, when my husband joins me, we keep it classic with toast sandwiches and coffee.

I rarely eat breakfast... mostly because I agree with Walter Garcia53, I don't wake up until around 10:30 or 11, and then I just don't feel like eating when lunch is already coming up at 1...

You could say my breakfast consists of coffee and a cigarette... but we all know that's not exactly healthy...😁

Every single morning, I make it a point to eat breakfast, whether I’m just grabbing some quick cereal or rushing through one of those small breakfast sandwiches...

I always eat breakfast since I’m an early riser, so it just makes sense to fuel up... though it varies. Lately, I’ve been loving some whole grain bread—you know, that dense, unleavened stuff—with a savory spread, mostly just cheese.
Sometimes I go with cornflakes, but always the plain kind, nothing with added sugar or any of that junk. My nutritionist actually told me that muesli, especially the sweet varieties, isn't really necessary for the average person because it's packed with calories you won't burn off during the day. That stuff is meant for athletes or people working manual labor jobs.😬
Occasionally I'll have some plain toast, but it doesn't keep me full for long; I get hungry again almost immediately... and sometimes a salty bagel😍...but that’s definitely not healthy, so I rarely do it.
Usually, I'll snack on half an orange or a kiwi first, then wash it down with a cup of instant coffee... though I'm planning to cut the coffee out soon. It just doesn't sit right with me; it makes me feel sluggish and gives me a bit of an upset stomach. 🙄

...Nah, I’m not exactly a culinary genius when it comes to breakfast...🙄

I used to struggle big time with breakfast—honestly, I couldn't even face it—until I finally forced myself to start eating something regularly, and now I feel so much better...

Usually, I just go for some Nestlé Corn Flakes with cold milk
otherwise
it's fruit—at least two kiwis and an orange
or maybe
some mozzarella and tomato
or even
an organic croissant
or
some bakery pastries and sharp sliced cheese, though I really only save that for the weekends

Occasionally I'll have eggs—hard-boiled, strictly two at most

Fruit yogurt is rare, and I almost never grab one of those pre-made sandwiches from a Subway on my way to work.

Keep in mind, I don't eat this until about 8:30 AM, and lunch usually hits around 1:00 PM.

I make it a point to eat breakfast, regardless of whether I roll out of bed at 7 AM or closer to 11! If I manage to get up early, I usually end up eating about four times a day, but if I sleep in until 11 or later, sometimes I only eat twice. I just shift my other meals around so there's a 4 to 5-hour gap between everything. I don't really have a fixed schedule for eating—not that I could afford to be that strict right now, since I'm not working. Usually, I’ll have something around 9 in the morning, then lunch around 2 or 3, and dinner somewhere between 7 and 8.
I can't exactly go on a binge of all sorts of things anymore (which, honestly, isn't even a problem because you eventually get used to anything), so for breakfast, I mostly stick to some kind of grain—maybe some oatmeal, millet, or buckwheat—with soy milk and seeds. Or maybe one of those grains paired with rice cakes along with some sheep cheese or tofu; occasionally, I’ll toss in some soy pâté too. About once a week, or maybe once every ten days, I give in to a "cholesterol-heavy" breakfast: polenta, some dry homemade sausage, and an egg—sometimes I'll swap the sausage for bacon. After breakfast, I might have a little something 😁 as a dessert, like carrots and some dried fruit—apricots, figs, or prunes—along with some nuts like hazelnuts, almonds, or walnuts. Sometimes I'll even have a bit of carob. That serves as my dessert, and sometimes I do the same thing after lunch.

My body just doesn't function properly without regular meals every few hours; my blood sugar drops or I get so hungry that I can't focus on anything else.

I know, I know, I'm being complicated, but I truly believe I'm eating way healthier than I used to—back when I was basically inhaling sandwiches, junk food from a bag, ice cream, and chocolate... Ugh, just thinking about it makes me feel sick. For instance, for Valentine's Day, I made some homemade pastries for my sweetheart 😍, and when I tried one, I almost spat it out (but since they were my very first attempt, I forced myself to swallow it 😍) because it was just presladak! It makes me wonder how I ever managed to gorge myself on that stuff! I guess it's all just a matter of habit....

And then there's the portions—you really have to practice moderation, which means you can actually enjoy everything. But me? I definitely have a tendency to overdo it 😬

Hey, by the way, I think you've got a thread over on the food forum asking "what did you guys have for breakfast" 👍

I’m definitely in the same boat when it comes to skipping breakfast. Sometimes I just sleep in too late, or my morning schedule gets absolutely slammed with things I have to do. On those days, I usually end up grabbing something quick like a piece of toast or a yogurt.

Lately, though, I’ve been sticking to muesli packed with dried fruit—we're talking five different kinds! Is that actually considered healthy?

Of course it is! I literally just finished a bowl with some yogurt myself. 😁

I’ve been wondering whether breakfast is truly as essential as everyone claims. Would it be perfectly fine to skip it entirely and just focus on lunch and dinner? I am considering a bit of a dietary adjustment—essentially eating less by cutting out the morning meal—but I can't help but wonder if that might actually backfire. Or perhaps skipping lunch would be the better move? It seems like most diet plans you see in American health magazines always suggest cutting out dinner, but let’s be honest, that is usually the hardest part to stick to, isn't it?

Of course it’s necessary. Look, if you’re working a morning shift—which is basically everyone in this country—or you're grinding through classes, you're burning through your energy reserves first thing in the morning. That's why breakfast is the heavy hitter. Lunch is just there to help you refuel a bit, and dinner? Honestly, it’s almost pointless since you're just gonna crash and sleep right after anyway.

That’s fine, but if I skip breakfast, I'll just end up feeling hungry, and then I'll be waiting around until lunch comes along to finally eat.
If I skip dinner—meaning my last meal was just a late lunch around 3:00 PM—and suddenly it's 9:00 PM and I'm still wide awake and starving, there's no winning. I end up heading to bed on an empty stomach with my stomach growling the whole time. 😬

Look, if you skip breakfast, you’re basically dead in the water. You won't be able to work, let alone think straight, because your brain is starving for glucose. Did you seriously bail on breakfast again today? 😁
