Has anyone else ever dealt with one of those tiny, annoying little pimples forming right around the nipple? It’s one of those things where you squeeze it out, only to have another one pop up in the exact same spot immediately after...🙄

But it actually happened to me. It flared up once—just a one-off—and then came back. I went to my doctor (an OB-GYN who was doing a routine breast exam anyway) and she gave me some cream, which cleared it right up. I can't remember if they did an ultrasound or what, since it’s been two years. It would be interesting to hear from anyone here who actually knows their stuff.

There are typically two main culprits behind those harmless little bumps around the nipple. One is just standard folliculitis—basically, an inflammation at the hair follicle root. The second involves clogged, slightly inflamed glands located right at the edge of the pigmented area; these are the sebaceous glands, specifically known as Montgomery's glands, if I recall correctly.

While both issues are usually nothing to worry about, any kind of irritation in such a sensitive area really ought to be checked out by a doctor just to be safe.

It wouldn't be a major issue if it weren't for the fact that it's incredibly frustrating, though I suppose it's hard to say for certain what's actually going on... I think it would be best if I just went to see a doctor, and once I have some actual answers, I'll let you all know what they say.
