So, I could probably use some expert advice just to stop my head from spinning until Monday, assuming there’s any good news out there.
About a month ago, I went to my dentist for a root canal on one of my upper molars. They had to clear out the nerves and put in some temporary filling. I was supposed to get a permanent filling, but my local clinic was out of stock for a month. Then, the tooth just completely cracked on me. I went back for an X-ray, and now the dentist says I’m looking at a crown.
But here’s where it gets messy. About five or six days ago, I had work done on the tooth right next to it—the premolar. That one also went south, so they had to do another root canal and put in a temporary fix too. I was scheduled to get the filling this past Tuesday, but I woke up last night, spat out a chunk of my tooth, and realized it was that premolar. Now I’m wondering what my options are since I'm basically missing two teeth. Can you actually stack a crown on top of another crown, go with a bridge, or am I just... stuck?
