I ruptured my left eardrum twice when I was a kid... I still have some hearing loss in that ear, and whenever I go diving in the ocean, water leaks right in.
Now I’m facing a flight, and I'm worried—is my eardrum going to pop again? What’s the actual protocol here?
I’ve heard people mention using nasal sprays or carrying around earplugs, but is that enough?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I’ve gone through Bubnjic three times now, most recently about two weeks ago... I went a little too deep, and things got messy. I ended up seeing a specialist, and he told me to come back for a follow-up in six months; if it hasn't healed on its own by then, he'll have to go in and repair it.

Now here’s my concern: what happens when I fly? The doctor said it shouldn't be an issue since there isn't anything left to break—it's basically just a void at this point. But realistically, can that actually heal up even a little bit in a month?
