Budget build: $350 - $450 range

Hey there,
I was wondering if you guys could help me out with putting together a build for around $1000. I'm thinking a budget of roughly $2,500. It’ll mostly be used for streaming movies and some gaming—nothing crazy intense, just stuff like Minecraft, League of Legends, Rocket League, and maybe the occasional round of CS:GO or Assassin's Creed. I don't really care if it's already pre-built or if it comes from a specific shop, as long as they offer 🙂 shipping everywhere in the States

Do you think I might actually need to step up to something beefier than a 400W power supply?

Nah, probably around 250W when everything is pushed to the limit... though I might be overestimating there.

So, is there maybe something a bit more budget-friendly (down to $833) that could actually handle those games, or am I just being way too ambitious here? 😁 I mean, sure, you could probably limp through all those titles on a cheap laptop with integrated graphics, but I really don't want to end up with a machine that’s basically a paperweight that can't run anything worth playing in a year or two.

Not really, you'd end up with way less performance for just a tiny bit of savings. In other words, I guess this combo has a really high value-to-performance ratio.

So, I figured 🙂 just one more quick thing—can I plug basically any random monitor into this graphics card, or am I gonna run into issues if it’s some older model I found in my garage?

If you're stuck with a monitor that only has a DVI port. 👍
If you don't have one, just grab an adapter and call it a day. 👍
