Hey there.
I'm looking for some advice from you guys—any recommendations for a solid laptop for someone who just needs the basics? Nothing crazy, just standard stuff like browsing the web, streaming movies and shows, hitting up Word or Excel... nothing heavy duty.
Budget is sitting right around $1667.
Thanks in advance.

That’s not really what we’re discussing here, so let me pose my own question instead.
How large of a screen are we talking about, and will you be needing Windows or other software?

What size screen we talking about here? And do you need Windows or stuff like that?

Thanks for getting back to me. Looking for a 17.3" screen, definitely needs Windows, just basic everyday stuff... standard two-year warranty is fine, and honestly, I don't care about the brand...

Well, that certainly narrows things down. For instance, this one comes with a decent dedicated GPU—which I know isn't your top priority, but it definitely helps with gaming or running stuff like Blender—versus this option that relies on integrated graphics but packs 8GB of RAM.

Thanks for the help, guys.
