I just really felt the need to vent this out to you all—and since I couldn't find the right subforum for it, I figured I'd just drop it here..
I honestly can’t shake this insecurity I've had for as long as I can remember. It's about how my neck muscles pop out so aggressively whenever I talk—let alone when I'm out of breath! :-( It’s honestly such a drain on my confidence. I constantly feel like everyone is just staring at my neck while we're chatting, which makes me want to wear turtlenecks even in the middle of a sweltering July afternoon. :dong:
I was wondering if there are any other women here dealing with the exact same thing? I'd love to hear your stories or maybe some advice on how to deal with these neck cords. 🙄 Unfortunately, it's not something you can just "fix" by losing weight or anything like that—it's clearly just down to genetics. A friend actually pointed it out to me the other day—she was like, "Wow, it looks like you have four thick wires sticking out of both sides of your neck when you speak louder," and apparently, they're still visible even when I'm being quiet, just less obvious. :-(
Just so you guys get a real idea of what I'm talking about, I found some photos online of celebrities who have the exact same thing going on. Honestly, it's almost like looking in a mirror! 🙂..
