I'm looking to burn some data onto an 8.5GB DVD, and I was wondering if I need some specialized high-capacity burner for that, or if I can just fire it up using Ner. If a special drive isn't necessary, what’s a decent alternative to Ner for those 8.5GB discs?

Don't quote me on this, but I honestly think any relatively modern burner can handle this without breaking a sweat. My own drive is about four years old now—nothing fancy—and it rips through 8.5 GB discs just fine. If you’re getting an error message the moment you hit burn, though, it’s a pretty safe bet your hardware just doesn't support double-layer media. As for software? I personally swear by Microsoft; it’s super straightforward and works like a charm for me. For actually burning image files, I usually just stick with Rufus.
