Hey everyone,
I’m feeling pretty frustrated because this issue is starting to get under my skin—literally—so I figured I’d vent a bit and see if anyone has any advice.
I’ve always dealt with these tiny little breakouts and bumps on my butt. It’s nothing major, like deep infections or anything crazy, just these annoying red spots that pop up from time to time. I’ve been fighting to get rid of them, but honestly, they seem way more persistent than I am, haha.
It’s definitely not a hygiene thing; I have no idea what the actual cause is.
I’ve tried everything—exfoliating scrubs, coarse sea salt scrubs, various lotions, even those super gentle baby creams since they're supposed to be perfect for sensitive skin...
I even tried using Desitin, but no luck there—zinc doesn't seem to do a thing.
Then, about two weeks ago, I went down to the drugstore to ask for help, and the pharmacist handed me some 1% Clindamycin topical gel. It’s this weird, chalky white stuff. I’ve been applying it at night, and while things looked okay for a couple of days, it hasn't actually fixed anything because new little bumps just keep appearing here and there.
It makes me feel so self-conscious when I'm with my boyfriend, especially when we're being intimate, haha. I hope you guys get it—it’s just not a great feeling knowing your skin looks red and bumpy like that.

Does anyone have any tips? Has anyone dealt with something similar and actually found a fix? I’m running out of ideas for what to put on my skin.
🙂
Thanks in advance for any help or advice you can give.
Best, and take care of your assets, haha.

I feel really awkward bringing this up, but this issue is honestly starting to get on my nerves, so I figured I’d just vent and see if anyone has any advice.

It’s definitely not a hygiene thing, I have no idea what it actually is.
I've tried everything from different exfoliants—rough scrubs, sea salt scrubs, various lotions—even using baby creams since they're supposed to be great for sensitive skin...
I even tried using some zinc cream, but nothing works, not even that.
Then about two weeks ago, I went into a CVS and asked for help, and the pharmacist gave me this Clindamycin 1% topical stuff, which is like this white, chalky paste. I was applying it at night and felt fine for a couple of days, but it didn't actually fix anything because those little bumps just keep resurfacing here and there.
It makes me feel super self-conscious when I'm with my boyfriend or whenever we're alone, haha, and I hope you guys get where I'm coming from because it's not exactly the best feeling having red little dots all over your ass.

Does anyone have any tips or maybe dealt with something similar and actually fixed it? I'm seriously running out of things to try on my skin.
🙂
Thanks so much in advance for any help or suggestions.
Best, and take care of those asses haha

I can't really give you any advice since I haven't even figured out my own breakout situation yet, but honestly? It’s probably just from all the sweat. 🙂

I don't think that's quite what we're talking about. It says right at the start that the breakouts are painful, huge, and located right near the anus, plus they're linked to ingrown hairs... I actually stopped reading there because the description just didn't match what I'm dealing with 😬

For me, it’s all basically the same thing—just whether the pimples are big or small.😬

The author suggests exfoliating two to three times a week (ideally in the shower when the skin is soft), followed by using witch hazel and aloe vera gel, then switching to cotton underwear and staying away from oily lotions and soaps, and so on.

So look, you’ve got two types here: one is those annoying bumps you can't even squeeze because they're just from sweating too much, and the other is just ingrown hairs. 😁

I haven't actually messed around with that first option yet. 😢

Honestly, I think you should probably start looking into some aloe vera-based creams 🙂

Sit less, and if you absolutely have to wear something, stay away from synthetics or nylon. Stick to cotton and skip the thongs.
For me, tea tree oil was the game changer. I grabbed some at Whole Foods, dab a little on a cotton ball, and rub it on after my shower. Just let it soak in and call it a day.

They’re gone! 😁

Also, make sure you actually scrub while you're in the shower so your skin can breathe, then hit it with some moisturizer afterward.
