Can Democrats actually hold onto the working class?

It seems like the left is picking up some momentum lately, but I'm not sure if that's going to last. If they can't win back those swing voters in places like Michigan, the whole strategy might fall apart. Do you guys think the current platform is actually appealing to working-class voters?
