Can someone explain this?

On the thread about that massacre in Washington, D.C., Nielsen quoted some guy on Twitter claiming that 91 victims of the killer—91 victims is too many.

Then he went ahead and compared that number to the official civilian death toll in Iraq, which they say is around 100,000 people.

I jumped in and said, obviously, 91 victims from this monster is way too many.

Regarding that second stat, I posted a legitimate link stating that Gallup in the United Kingdom found with 95% certainty that civilian casualties in Iraq are much higher, closer to the 1 million mark, including tons of children.

I made it clear I wasn't trying to derail the thread; I was just responding to the numbers Nielsen threw out there.

Right then, both posts were nuked immediately (Nielsen's post had been sitting there for about half an hour without any comments or deletions before that). So, why were both posts deleted right after I replied?

Note: Most people on that thread aren't even sticking to the actual topic in a strict sense.

So, this thread pretty much confirmed two things for me;

- if you're just waiting around, you'll be waiting forever.

and

- silence is an answer in itself.

Look, once someone with actual authority shows up, I think we can just lock this whole thing down.

Look, I’ll tell you right now, there’s a massive difference in how people view "them" versus "us." Like, when they say "they’re Muslim" vs "these guys aren't," the world just looks at it through a different lens. The numbers are way higher on one side, but the world treats it like it doesn't even matter. It’s a joke. When a non-Muslim civilian gets killed? Suddenly CNN and every other news outlet is losing their minds and acting all outraged. Pff...
